While most of the U-Haul at this location are excellent, a few are lacking in good customer service. The morning after I returned a rental van, a man with - I think - a Russian accent from this U-Haul called me and left a voice-mail stating that my van's return was late. It wasn't late, as I dropped it off the night before. I called them back and told them that I had dropped the key off in the key drop off slot. The workers didn't even look there before calling me to say that I hadn't returned the van when I actually did well before it's due time. That was pretty unprofessional. A few days later, I noticed that I was charged double the amount of the rental contract. I called in to inform the store when I noticed. He woman who answered my call (I forgot her name, but she's a black woman with braids and glasses) cleared everything up for me immediately and apologized for the double charge. She was really helpful with clearing that up. Peter was also very helpful and has wonderful customer service skills. Overall this location is great, so that incident surprised me.

Dropped off my truck after hours and found out the next day I was charged for a missing utility dolly, which the previous location was supposed to note I never received in the first place. Called to report that I shouldn’t have been charged and was told that I would be refunded, but when I looked at the receipt, I was refunded for the $10 rental fee but not the $35 missing equipment charge.

Please verify that the storage unit rented is empty from the previous tenant. Mine was not and I had to wait for them to empty their belongings, clean it out myself, then place my belongings in the unit. My time is precious too.

When I arrived, I was told that someone had "tried to call me yesterday to change the location." I had no missed calls, no voicemails, and no email notification. If there is a change of pickup location and time, you need to try multiple times to contact, leave a VOICEMAIL, and at least email when that's said as the preferred contact method. This is less about my experience with this specific store, and instead an experience with reserving online.

I have a problem with this last contract that I did I brought the truck back in Monday morning I came in a few but an hour or so late and I charge for a full day I didn't tell took the truck back since I got charged for the full day now I'm being charged for gas and I didn't even use cuz I would have parked the truck honestly across the street from the U-Haul truck from U-Haul company and now that I didn't turn it in personally I left it in overnight now I'm being charged for a day of gas also not only am I not being compensated for the time of coming down there and not having to use the truck for a full day but then also I'm not being charged for next day of gas and that is not fair and I know it was the gas was not changed. Not to mention the customer service when I came in the mail customer service when I brought it back yesterday which is why I didn't want to deal with them in person so I put it in the overnight deposit box but then I turn around and I get this on my email saying that I got charged a of gas

East Capitol customer servi e was outstanding made my moving experience a happy and fun occasion. I called them after trying to conduct the exact same transaction with another uhaul located on Villard avenue. Villard was awful and made me wish I had contacted east Capitol first.

Truck was not completely swap out as I was asked to make sure that I do it once I complete my rental but when I received it it was not cleaned out Upon returning the young man was in the store and wait until I came all the way in the door before he asked for the keys to check the car for the young lady that was outside was too busy worried about washing her own personal car other than that the operation went quick smooth and fast

I purchased 3 wardrobe boxes. My husband went 2 days before we were to pick up the truck to get them. Spoke to a woman at the counter. The boxes didnt fit in his car so he said he would pick them up whem he picked up the truck. She said okay and that she wont mark them as picked up. When we went to get the truck and the boxes we spoke to an older gentleman who said there was no order for the boxes. So essentially, 25 bu ks was taken from me.
