The customer service was excellent! Wanda, the manager, deftly and professionally handled situations, reservations, and customers in the store. It was amazing to observe. She simultaneously managed customers in person and on the phone in their different levels of readiness, whether the computer system was still uploading, links were still sending, trucks were being prepared, etc. etc. in a manner that was down to earth yet polished. Multitasking at its finest! I don’t know if this can truly be taught, but Wanda could give seminars. The truck was great and fit more than I had thought it would hold. When I returned it, Wanda and her employees made sure to ask if everything went well and if my experience was a good one. It certainly was. If asked whether I would refer others to rent trucks from this company, I would refer them to this particular Twin Cities Uhaul.

Wanda deserves an award for being the best General Manager I have ever met! She was personable, supportive, knowledgable, and professional. It was an absolute pleasure to interact with her. I think U-Haul should invite Wanda to train customer service representatives across the nation because she has remarkable interpersonal skills and talent! She made my day!

I have rented from this location before without issues. After returning the truck and being promised a receipt emailed to me in 20 minutes, the receipt was not emailed to me until 1 hour before the store closed. I was overcharged and have contacted customer service twice with assurance that the issue would be fixed. Nothing has been emailed to me about the corrected billing rate and my card still has pending charges for over $150. I used a cargo van for 2 hours and drove 38 miles without any damage to the vehicle. I am very unhappy I have not been able to contact the site directly and do not have anything in writing about the correct rate. I am frustrated that I have already had to contact them multiple times and do not yet have a time frame for when I can expect this to be resolved. I plan to continue to contact customer service regularly until this is resolved.

The check in process was so disorderly. I couldn’t tell if they got my rental ready on their own personal phone and wasn’t reassured that anything was kept private. I never felt like my time was valued and conversation between the three people working felt much more important than getting me out of the store front. Then, once I got keys to my rental it was nearly impossible to get the car out and the man who was most attentive and helpful could barely squeeze through to get in the drivers seat. It took over a half hour to get out of the store front despite their being tons of availability and no other people checking out anything or even in the building.

We arrived at the Nicollet Ave. location at an extremely busy time for UHaul staff. Kurt Krause greeted us with expeditious and exemplary service as we had a 5-hr. return drive to Wisconsin. Wanda, while seemingly performing a magic trick of calmly helping numerous customers, quickly assisted us with our account and we were soon on our way. I cannot say enough about this business transaction and it is such excellent customer service that is why I have used UHaul many times and will in the future. The equipment was incredibly clean and worked just fine. However, this location is very strange. While browsing the store I saw that management had posted on the thermostat - YOU DONT PAY THE BILLS IF YOU'RE COLD DO SOME WORK. Not the greatest first impression, and certainly didn't give me the idea this was a professional business. After I was finally able to get the keys to the truck I drove it home to begin moving. I purchased 6 furniture pads and a dolly. When I opened the back, they weren't in there. Off to the store I went again to get those, wasting my time on a moving day. I spent the whole night in my new home having nightmares about the credit card bill that would happen once u-haul accused me of stealing on of their trucks. I finished my move and returned my truck. An employee told me I'd be sent an "e-receipt," but never did. Later that day I got a text telling me my equipment hadn't been returned. For a company that is meant to help people in an already stressful moving situation get their move done, u-haul didn't do much for me. I won't be using u-haul again.

Dropping off using your online self-service was a nightmare. I tried using the web, downloading the app and calling the 800 number. I was on hold with six different people. None would help me. They kept passing me on. The contract did not match my equipment nor the date. After I signed up and verified the account (three times) it would not log me in.
