Get rid of the one woman who works there that has NO customer service qualities at all. She is rude and nasty to me on the phone. When I proved that she was wrong with the charges she wouldn't admit it or apologize. Because of her also cost your company another sale rental. I have to rent again next month and certainly will NOT use that site again.

Extremely rude people leaving nasty messages on my phone. Uhaul was filthy inside and out when rented. It smelled terrible and had a sticky residue we had top scrub out before we could load our things into it. The manager was extremely rude to my Fiancée on the phone then she placed a do not extend notice on our contract. We needed the van for an extended period.

I rented a truck and returned it the next day and i was 1hour 56 min late and I got charged for another day, which I understand is in contract Im not complaining about that. the thing is when I returned the truck I was not informed that I was paying for another day because if I knew that I would've kept the truck for rest of day because I PAID FOR IT but instead they closed me out and when I checked my receipt I called Uhaul and asked Why wasent I told this b4 I gave up keys and I would return for the truck bcuz I paid for it they said it was rented out. THIS IS NOT FAIR I FEEL LIKE I WAS CHEATED OUT OF MY MONEY AND I SHOULDVE BEEN INFORMED THAT I COULDVE KEPT TRUCK INSTEAD OF THEM TAKING MY MONEY AND RENTING IT OUT INSTEAD. SO BASICALLY I GOT SCREWED OUT OF A WHOLE DAY THAT I PAID FOR. its really easy for someone to say "hey if you need truck keep the truck you paid for it" instead of not saying shit just to make money off the truck i already paid for. Thats just the nice thing to do since im a paying customer but UNFORTUNETLY the staff there thinks they make a commission off their sales and screwed me instead. i wont be returning to this uhaul ever again that was a greedy move. and all over 1hour 54 min maybe they should charge by hour instead of the entire day just so they can make money twice off one truck.

I have to write this review from two different viewpoints, mine and my wife's. The reason for this is we were there two different times, separately. In the spirit of fairness I will state that my wife would have rated it overall average, the poor rating is mine. Her two complaints were; The two people at the counter both took personal phone calls while helping her and the customer next to her, she thought this was very rude and unprofessional. Also she was the only female customer in the store out of three and she was the only one the staff did not ask to go out to the truck and do an inspection. When she asked if she too needed to do this she was told "not necessary." Why the different treatment? My reasons for the poor rating are as follows: I picked the truck up with the keys and contract already having been obtained by my wife, I was told to check the fuel level and odometer against what was recorded on the contract. I did so, noticing "7/16" on the paperwork and the needle on the truck in between 7/16 and 3/8, knowing I was only driving about ten miles total and I would put a little gas in it before I brought it back anyway, I did not want to make an issue out of such a petty discrepancy. When I returned it I had only driven twelve miles and the needle had not moved so I figured id just pay the refuel charge if any. The attendant returned from inspecting the truck and told me it was going to be $18 refuel fee. There was a gas station across the street so I opted to go put $10 in the tank instead of pay the $18. after the second inspection he still told me it would be $18 refuel fee. I showed him the receipt from the gas station and directed his attention to the odometer. He told me I must have held my head incorrectly when I looked at the needle the first time and I should have taken a picture of the gas needle before I left. I went a second time to the gas station, again putting $10 dollars in the tank for a total of $20. Keep in mind I had only driven 12 miles with a small piano as my only cargo. When the attendant came back from the third inspection (which I passed thank god) I showed him my gas receipts and did the math for him on my phone ($20 / $3.12 per gallon = 6.4 gallons / 12 miles driven = .53 miles to the gallon) ? This had no impact on him. He simply repeated "I understand sir." over and over. U-Haul has lost my future business. Not wanting to present a negative review without offering a solution, I strongly suggest a policy change of leave with a full tank, return with a full tank. In addition, discretion on small issues and customer service should be taught and audited by U-Haul for employees and franchise owners alike.

While I was waiting for m trailer, I witnessed a U Haul Worker sweeping and mopping out another trailer. The inside of my trailer was nice and clean. Outstanding Job people at the U Haul Kansas in Modesto California. Keep up the awesome work.

When I arrived at the Kansas Av. on August 12, to pick up a 10 ft. truck I was informed the truck I wanted was in Oakdale CA. I was not in a position to go 45 minutes to Oakdale to pick it up. I did not understand that the Kansas Av. was a 'preferred' pickup location. I ended up renting a smaller enclosed trailer.

I got there and the truck I rented was apparently not available anymore after calling and checking to make sure it would be. It was very frustrating however the manager was very nice and did her best to fix the situation where she could.
