Waited a long time to actually be dispatched my equipment due to computer issues. The young girl said I was dispatched the equipment 13 minutes after my scheduled pick up time but that is not true, it was closer to a half hour. I reserved two dollies since I had two people moving me out of the top floor of my building. Two dollies could have been loaded up with boxes simultaneously with each of us bringing a dollie down to the truck but when I got there I was told that they gave one dollie to someone before me and only had one available. To make matters worse, the dollie they gave me had almost no nuts holding the casters down and one of the casters bent the first time I tried loading it up with boxes. I had to wait until the next morning to go to a hardware store and buy the right nuts to secure all of the casters, each caster was missing 3 nuts. If I had two dollies I could have cut the time I spent moving boxes in half since I had two people. In reality, instead of having two people move 4 boxes each on each dollie I had one dollie with 4 boxes and one person carrying a box if it wasn't too heavy. There was a very young girl, maybe 18 years old running the place, it was unorganized, they were talking about politics when I was waiting for them to sort out the computer issues and when I was late returning the truck because of the delay due to broken equipment the young girl (holly I think) was pretty rude on the phone. Never again will I use Uhaul.
Was told....If I couldn't have the truck back b4 5:00 (closing) then I should bring it back the next day at 7am because they are concerned about theft and having keys in a drop box. This is not the customers problem and makes it very inconvenient for the customer, I had to rush my moving day in order to get the vehicle back b4 closing. One of the best the best things about U-Haul is the convenience of after hours pickup & drop off and use of the app. If this location cannot support this then I would be looking for another location.
The drop off location was closed and therefore unavailable to us when we were ready to return the trailer. It took 2 phone calls and 90 minutes to finally get someone on the phone Who advised us we could simply leave the trailer outside the location unsecured, which I was reluctant to do. Upon calling to follow up and additionally secure a storage location Rosanna at the drop off location was exceptionally helpful
4pm friday we receive a phone call from uhaul in Forked River, NJ to tell us they will not have our truck for sat morning. They did not offer a solution. We spend one hour calling around looking for a truck. We end up finding a 26' truck in Monroe and book it for twice the cost of the original booking. We walk into Monroe to find the uhaul rep on the one with corporate and then tells us she was calling because she doesn't have our truck we booked. How much stress can a person around moving take? Eventually we got a 15' truck instead but than nothing. Super bad experience with Uhaul.
I was supposed to pick up my truck at 7pm Thursday night so I could have it packed and ready to go for Friday morning. My truck was not set up, despite the location having ample time to do so, and was not notified that it wouldn't be available for me Thursday night. As a result, I had a sleepless night worrying if I'd have time to get everything done and had to be up early to pick up the truck at 7am instead. The person on site at pickup seemed like she knew it hadn't been set up properly as she said it was a new person doing the set up, but didn't bother to notify me that this may have been the case. If you have a strict schedule to adhere to, I'd second-guess this location.
The truck was a disaster. There was moisture on the inside of the truck. The cup holder in the door was filled with water. The side mirrors shook violently and were unusable. The dash did not light up so unable to see gauges at night.
My experience with u-haul was very positive. The property management and associates very accommodating . I would use this company again.

Location opened 15 minutes late. Understaffed, one person had to handle multiple customers, answer phones and retrieve and clean rentals. I scheduled a hands free pickup and truck was not ready because it arrived late the night before. Wound up being there for over an hour. Was told truck was scheduled for service the next day and I was to not worry about the noise the steering wheel made when I turned or the check engine light on the dashboard. The truck was in horrible shape mechanically. Overall a very unprofessional experience for the amount of money I paid. Truly disappointed
Had to pick up truck that was quite a distance from where I needed it and wanted to pick it up. I was given 50 extra miles, but still went over. If there isn't a truck close to where you want it, there should not be a charge for extra miles
Hailey and Rosanna were fabulous to work with! Hailey personally called me to make sure I was aware of a change in my truck rental and was able to get me into a smaller truck. They were both very responsive and helpful, which made the whole process so much easier! I would highly recommend their service for truck rental and storage!
I cannot day enough great things about the personnel at this location & have had THE BEST customer service ever. Hailey and Rosanna have been phenomenal in supporting my move to NJ. Every step of the way, they have been highly responsive, caring and smart. Moving is emotional and they are very compassionate and friendly which helped a ton. I would drive out of my way to rent a truck from them and have done it just because they make it so easy and pleasant. Best UHaul location I've ever used hands down!
Truck should be clean and dry when renting
To the truth nothing, that person who attended me is excellently prepared and very polite, a thousand thanks for everything.
The truck was not swept out and I had to do that prior to loading.
The windshield needed cleaning...even with using the windshield wiper and spray whatever was in there didn't come off....the seats had some lint on them....the power receptacle cover was broken....BUT, my overall experience with the rental was excellent!
Make sure dashboard lites and rear interior box lites are operating.
