I will never deal with this location again. The employee was rude and threatened to charge us extra because he didnt like where we were dropping the trailer. Open sign was lit, but door was locked, so we didn’t know where to put it. He was ignorant, confrontational and disrespectful

Contract Number – 70201830 Vehicle – DC 2459Y I have a complaint about the above noted rental at your depot in Mount Forest known as JS Performance Automotive. When I picked up the vehicle I was going to be renting for the day, I noted that the gas gauge on the dash of the vehicle read a bit below half full (picture attached). I mentioned that to Jay and he dismissed me by saying that I should return the vehicle with the gas gauge reading the same. I pointed out to him that that was unusual and that the vehicle should be full when I left and then I could return it full with no confusion. He wasn’t about to fill it up. Upon my return to Mount Forest, I went to a local gas station and put the quantity of gasoline that would bring the gas gauge reading to the spot where it was when I left that morning. Jay contends that I didn’t put in enough fuel. My gas purchase was at 6:55 PM and I dropped the vehicle off at Jay’s shop shortly after. The required vehicle return time noted on the contract was 7:15 PM. I was there before that. I tried to get hold of Jay the next day, but he wasn’t around. I finally got hold of him by phone and asked him why the extra charge. He indicated that I hadn’t returned the vehicle with a full tank and that it was returned late. He told me that he had sent me an e-mail advising me of the extra charge but I have never received that e-mail. The e-mail address noted on the contract was not the one I had given him. I didn’t notice the error (a space before @) until during my conversation with Jay about the extra charge. The extra charge on my credit card was $49.35.
John JHad to try to get guy’s attention while waiting for several minutes, he’s also managing the U-Haul part of his mechanic shop. I’d suggest he got a door chime so he knows when someone enters his establishment.
Vishnu R$19 marketing gimick cost way lot after not wouldn’t recommend and will never use again.
akashdeep sBooked a 20 foot truck to move from Newfoundland to Ontario. One day before pickup after flying there I was informed that they didn't have a 20 foot truck and all they had was a 26 foot truck!!! More money in fuel and for the ferry. Why couldn't they at least tell me ahead of time and I could have looked into something else? Now I have to pay out of pocket for their mistake.
