We got there and the ordered truck was ready and warmed up for us. A quick and easy transaction. Great service! Unlike Gill Roy Hardware who we had booked this same 10 foot two months earlier only to find out less then 24 hours before pickup, that they only had a 27 foot truck. So we had to pospone our move a week, costing us 3 hotel rooms that we didn’t need because we didn’t have the right size truck to move and a day of lost work and gas for a 4 hour repeat trip!!!

While the rental started off shaky. I ordered a 15 foot truck and the location said they had it and that I reserved it, then the next day they called and said they did not have it but they would compensate me with a 26-foot truck. I accepted the truck because this was the closest place to my daughter's apartment. They gave me the 26-foot truck at the same rate as a 15 foot truck which was fine and they accommodated me which was great. I didn't know what to expect because of this but when I got to the location everything was smooth fine and did not take long at all I was very appreciative the combinations that were given to me as far as the bigger truck with the same price. We got the move done without a hitch and the return the truck than the allotted time. Everything was fine. I would recommend this site for anybody who's a college student and moving furniture back home.

Very little contact with front desk person. Handed me the keys and pointed outside. Right side mirror is about to fall off. Windshield wipers did not exist.

We reserved a 10 ft trailer. We never received a confirmation call. The pick up location changed and if I didnt call ahead I would never have known. when we got there they said they didn’t have any so they gave a 26ft trailer which was way too big for what we needed. Why would you allow me to reserve 10 ft but then tell me you don’t have any? Not cool

I took the 9' cargo van. It was a brand new Ford. Everything was good except for one thing that drove me crazy the whole 300 miles. While driving that van, you can feel that pressure on your ears (WHUM WHUM WHUM) similar to what happens when you open the rear window while driving your own car down the road. It's also called "Helmholtz resonance" or "side window buffeting". It was a long drive I thought I will go deaf by the end of the trip.

I was satisfied with the location, but not u haul itself! They sent me to Farwell saying they had a 10 foot truck for me reserved there. On my way there u haul calls me and says they apologize, but it's not there, but I can go to mt. Pleasant and get a cargo van, so I go to mt. Pleasant, and the gentleman at billys tobacco said I had a reservation for noon that day, I didnt even call to reserve until around 4 pm that day, the man did his best to rent it to me after I explained everything, but he couldn't get past a screen to allow me to rent it. My family and I were out extra gas money running all around and had to put out 70$ to stay in a motel room that night, because we couldn't move anything. Then the next day I call to try to rent a truck or trailer and the young lady named raisin told me about a 50$ guarantee on your truck or trailer being there. She put me on a phone with this other lady who was rude to me, acting like I was trying to get something for free! Said I canceled the cargo van @ 7:15 that evening NOT TRUE, I SAT AT BILLYS TOBACCO FOR OVER AN HOUR!, SO AFTER ALL THIS IS SAID AND DONE THEY SAID THEY WOULD KNOCK OFF 30 CENTS A MILE, SO AT THAT POINT I WAS LIKE OK I JUST WANTED TO GET MOVED IN TO MY HOUSE. TODAY I CHECKED MY receipt AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT! OH AND DID I MENTION I HAD USED THEM A FEW DAYS BEFORE AND THAT HAD COST ME 101 AND SOME CHANGE . If they don't make this right they have lost a life long customer. The ratings I gave was for the Hitchen post not u haul itself! Right now I would give u haul a -star if that was possible!

Ask me about the overall renting experience, you would need negative numbers for my rating. I made reservation two months in advance and could not confirm until 2 days before the move, and THEN was told that there was no truck of the type I wanted, in the area. They wanted to UPGRADE me to a larger truck. Then, finally I was given the option of picking one up...over 30 miles away. Uhaul reservations are completely unreliable, next time I will try another carrier.

the guy at this place was a jerk. they didn't have any record of my reservation, although I had a confirmation email, the van stunk and they asked me to have it back early because he has rented it to someone else. I did him the favor and returned it early and he charged me extra for gas! I put maybe 20 miles on the van - what jerk! Will never rent from there again. the other place in Mt Pleasant is much better - Gill Roy's, rent from them instead!

Single employee had no idea how to use uhaul system. It took him over 45minutes to help us. As he couldn't figure out how to use the system made us search for receipt numbers. When we finally found these he tells us that he figured it out. I've previously never had this take longer than 10 minutes trying to get a uhaul. The location is disgusting. Old extremely dirty building covered in dirt. Parts scattered about. The truck was clearly not swept when we received it. Bag of blankets was in an already torn bag. Not sure about this every other time we've gotten these they've been in a sealed back. We were then charged for two days when we returned the truck well before the listed time. The owner said he will see IF he could fix it. He didn't tell us that he would get it fixed. He would see IF it would be fixed. He acted like we were inconveniencing him with this extra $70 charge. This was a nightmare. I've never had this much trouble with uhaul. The story doesn't even include that the location was changed without informing us. The fact the man was so slow the location was changed that we paid movers for over an hour of waiting. I honestly could not believe this situation. I've never had anything like this occur using uhaul, but unless you fix this I will likely think twice before using uhaul again.

The location was fine, your customer service at uhaul was horrible. I was trying to change my pick-up day and your website would not allow me to do so. After several attempts I called the customer service department and was on hold for over 20 mins, the rep said that I needed to speak to scheduling and transferred me. The line rang for 5 mins then disconnected. I called back and waited for 32 mins. Very frustrating!!!!
