I was rushed and not told about 0.40 cent per mile fee. I want to be refunded $15.20. When I returned the U-Haul in Smithville and the lady said I should be reimbursed that bc I was rushed at M'Boro(guess it was a busy time). I was NEVER TOLD ANYTHING ABOUT MILEAGE.. I WILL BE CONTACTING 1-800-GOUHAUL. cAN THERE ALREADY BE SOMETHING PUT IN YOUR SYSTEM SO THAT WHOMEVER I TALK TO WILL REMOTELY KNOW WHAT I AM REFERRING TO. I have 3 different receipts at my house where it was "messed up" credit card was charged for trailor then there was a problem and ended up getting a truck....NEVER TOLD ANYTHING ABOUT MILAGE. I EVEN TOLD THEM WE WERE DRIVING TO SMYRNA TO GET A COUCH AND STILL NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT A .40 CENT FEE PER MILE. PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME ASAP. THANK YOU



The truck they gave us was a peace of crap.the door on the driver's side opened on its own on the interstate.they charged me way more than they said .I will never use uhal again I have used them a lot but this time the service and the truck sucked.

It was easy to rent and pick up, and the 15' truck ran well and was quite easy to drive. Some minor gripes: I received no guidance in how to handle it. The mirror was not adjusted well for me and I had to find an Allen wrench in a strange city to adjust it myself. The window wash on the driver's side barely functioned. The hood latch would not release, al least not until I got back on the road and hit a bump, whereupon it did open up to the safety latch.

A hitch was installed on my vehicle and the ball hitch that was suggested to be purchased to tow the UHaul caused the Uhaul to sit very low to the ground. We got in an accident because of this that caused serious damage to my car and could have easily resulted in the death of myself, my two small children and my mother in law. Additionally, after the hitch had been installed, I had to go back to the store because the technician forgot to reinstall some screws so my tail lights were falling off my vehicle.

I had to wait til 9 am cause they don't open til 9 but they told me to bring the truck back the same time as I picked it up. I got the truck at 745 so I had to wait til 9am

The truck broke down within an hour of our trip. It then took 6 hours to get a tow for the remaining 3 hours of the trip. The truck's fluids had not been refilled and the oil cap was missing altogether. Particularly concerning was the absence of break fluid, which caused a malfunction in the breaks. Someone could have been badly hurt. I have filed a formal complaint but cannot seem to get any response from anyone about it.

Dash and cup holder area filthy when i got truck . I cleaned best i could before returning truck so i was not charged a cleaning fee. Mentioned this to rental agent and she appologized and thanked me for cleaning. Overall, a very good rental and will use this location again.

Stephanie Clark is an outstanding Manager and excellent business woman. U-Haul needs to correct its online website to reflect the fact that when one rents a cargo van from the Clark/Memorial store location, that vehicle must be returned to the same location. The U-Haul website lacks that crucial piece of info. Instead, the online form which customers fill in ASKS THE QUESTION: TO WHICH LOCATION WILL YOU BE RETURNING THIS VAN, GIVES OTHER LOCATIONS AS POSSIBILITIES, AND ALLOWS THE CUSTOMER TO CLICK ON OTHER LOCATIONS. This is where the problem began... but thanks to Stephanie's superb professionalism, the problem was ultimately resolved. Kudos to Stephanie Clark, who should be named U-Haul Store Manager of the Year.
