I simply needed to rent a transport trailer yesterday, after over 2 1/2 hours I left with a trailer. The lady at the rental location was super and knowledgeable. However the U-haul computer system kept locking up. She spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to get to help from Little Rock "traffic" before being able to complete the transaction. The call was on hold so long that it rolled over to other state service centers that could not help. Seems to be a problem with the system and I feel that I should be compensated for the inconvenience. I had arrangements at my destination that I was not able to keep due to your system problems. Please keep in mind that the lady at the rental location did her job effectively and the Little Rock traffic person helped her handle the issue. We live in a very rural area, and this is the only U-haul site nearby, but we need more variety in trucks. I ordered a 20' truck, but only a 26' truck was available. It was very difficult to maneuver that extra 6' of truck in the spaces where I needed to go.

Clint Moore actually gave me an extra day to get the truck unloaded since it was raining cats and dogs the day we arrived. In addition, Mr. Moore arranged for one helper to assist in unloading the next morning, even though it was Christmas Eve. We were very happy with this end of the trip.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. would recommend this location to anyone. The only problem we had was with the uhaul dispatch, I told them we would pick up between 10 and 12, Nicole, the lady with uhaul put our reservation in for 12 so therefore the truck was not there. Nicole tried to put it on the owner where we picked it up but it was clearly her fault. I was not happy about having to wait and Nicole should be ashamed of herself for putting the blame on someone else when it was clearly her fault. The owner was very apologetic and took care of us.

Clint, the U-Haul manager was great. I had a non-refundable deposit to pick up a motorcycle in St. Louis. I called the location in Batesville, Arkansas. They didn't know what a motorcycle trailer was. I called another location and they said they never have any and it would be too expensive to get one for me. Feeling hopeless, I called the Newport, Arkansas location and spoke to Clint. He knew exactly what I wanted but didn't have any. He said he would do whatever it took to get one for me. He said he lived and breathed U-Haul and it would be no problem. Keep in mind, I arranged this 6 weeks in advance and had a non-refundable deposit on the motorcycle. It had to be picked up on a certain day or I would lose my deposit and the motorcycle. I checked in periodically before the Nov. 14 date with my motorcycle. About 4 or 5 days before, Clint called me and said that he was going to drive to Searcy, Arkansas trip and pick it up so it would be there when I needed it. My work schedule started to interfere with my pick-up date so I informed him I would have to send my 73 year-old mobility impaired mother to pick it up. She was unable to get out of the truck and do anything to assist him. He directed her in backing up the truck so that he could hook up the trailer. Then he brought the paperwork to the truck for her to sign. Everything was accomplished in about 10 minutes with no problem for my mother. Clint drove 100 miles round trip to get the trailer while other local dealers told me that there was no such thing as a motorcycle trailer or that it wasn't cost effective for them to pick up a trailer for me to use. This represents total dedication to customer service that is rarely seen in today's world. I want to thank Clint in Newport, Arkansas and U-Haul for a great and worry-free experience. No customer service at all, the place was closed and me and my 3yr old son stood out in the heat for about 30min until i called uhaul and was told the keys are in the vehicle. The oil change required light was on when i first picked the truck up.

When I make a reservation and you confirm it, KEEP your end of the deal instead of making me drive 65 miles just to pick up a truck that was suppose to be available locally! The agent in Newport was very nice. But made the reservation for a truck to be here in Paragould!

Our Uhaul truck broke down half way through our trip. We were stranded on the side of a major interstate in the heat. The gas gauge showed a half a tank, but we are told that it was out of gas. I don't know that I believe that because after letting it sit for over an hour, we were able to drive it about 10 more miles to the next exit.
