I have rented from U haul many times. I like this location in Oakville. However this time i place my order on the phone for a truck not a van that i usually get. They said OK and an email was sent to me to fill out for quicker processing. I got a phone call from someone saying that a truck at this location was not available and the only thing they had was a bigger truck at 3 other locations including Burlington, Milton and Etobicoke. I did not want a bigger truck and i did not want to drive extra km to pick one up. I called the number back and the girl who answered had no idea who i was even though i had a confirmation number and had an account with you. She spent 5 minutes trying to find me and i hung up. I tried to call the Burlington location to let them know i did not want the truck but there is 3 locations in Burlington.One never answered the phone. The second one was a gas station that does some rentals but the guy who rents trucks was not in today. I told him i was afraid i was going to get charged for this rental. He said i would be ok.. I called Oakville back and got a van instead. Very professional location. I went online and di the speedy reservation. Later that night i got a call from the Etobicoke location saying they had my truck. i told them i did not need it and i am not sure why they would send me 1/2 hour out of my way when i am paying km for the travel. He seemed upset. I was afraid that whoever called me from central booking had reserved 3 trucks from 3 separate locations for me and 3 businesses would be holding trucks that they could otherwise have rented. In the end i got my van from Oakville. Brought it back and their service was excellent.

Thank you so much to Julie for finding the GPS I'd left in our previous hire!! This truck had a padlock on the rear door + key - this should be standard on all your trucks. I couldn't adjust the mirrors on this truck - first time ever and no instruction booklet for vehicle.

Phenomenal customer service. Elevator was down, I was by myself with a storage locker to load into a truck. The fine people of this establishment helped me carry every box, every bag and every piece of furniture down the stairs until it was done and wouldn’t accept anything but a thank you. Please have the Truck ready when customer arrives. In my case Truck was not even returned by other customer and I waited for 20 - 30 mins after the time of my booking. This resulted the delay in my overall moving and very hard time with my condo management to extend the moving time for elevators. We had to move the Truck for someone else who had reserved the spot and could not move few items. Now we have to rent a cargo van again to move remaining items. check the inside of the vehicle, the overhead light was missing and the cap covering the light was misssing in the van i had. because the light cover was missing it had hard plastic jagged clips exposed and i stood up and sustained cuts on the top of my head. Safety issue here which should be fixed.

I had made a reservation the night before for a truck at the Burlington Walkers office - then I got a call in the morning saying the reservation system was wrong and they did not have trucks available - you need to fix this system so that customers are not left scrambling to find a car at the last minute. To their credit, later in day they helped me to find a cargo van and sent me to the Oakville Woody office. However, as I left with the rental, I noticed the cargo van had a turning light bulb burned out - this could have caused an accident.

The back of the truck was full of gravel when i picked it up and when I returned the veihcle the branch manager surprisingly enough goes: it's really messy back there. Well if you rent a dirty truck don't expect me to returne it all detaileled.I even asked to pre inspect the truck before I took off but I was told that was fine.Morale before you go to u haul make sure you discuss and check whit them the conditions of the rental otherwise they will surprise you when you go and drop it off whit unrealistic requests !

I staff is great at this location. I have been renting vans on a regular basis and they go out of their way to make the experience exceptional.



My only criticism is when we asked for a truck that would have a door clearance for something that measured 8ft by 8 ft instead of saying they don't carry trucks with that clearance they have us one with a door clearance of 5.5ft and we now have to go and rent another truck

I am disappointed that, due to traffic, we were 4 hours late dropping off the utility trailer and they charged me do another full day. That's robbery. I was planning on renting a trailer to go back and forth to our cities ewoth the atv but this has prompted me to buy my own. I was going to mention that when I entered the location to pick up the trailer, i stood there for a good 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged or greeted by the representative with some sort of smile or learned greeting but when she eventually acknowledged me it was "what do you need"...I had made the reservation by phone and pre paid. I did not get the ladies name so I can't help there either. I will say that I was turned off of the brand by the way I was treated. Almost as though they felt that their business would be safe without customers. Disappointing.



As both clerks were mere inches away from each other while serving customers, it was very difficult to hear what my clerk was saying to me over the telephone conversation the other one was having with her client. The solution would be to find a way to have greater separation between work stations.

When the truck came there was no inspection done with the team member. Someone else was stuck behind the truck, so it seemed like we were rushed out of the place. Anyways, got home with the truck and started packing, later (after store closing) we realized one tire was completely flat. I was lucky enough o have an air compressor, most people would not have been as fortunate. All of the tires were at least 20 PSI less than recommended. The trucks need to be inspected more thoroughly before being given to the customer.
