I made the reservation on the woody road location, however a number of people were in front of me as they were sent there from the Royal Windsor location. It would have been better if more planning had taken place.

I have sent 2 emails to U-Haul now. One to location manager and another to Head Office. NO response. I was charged by the mile and not kilometer. Truck was registered in Arizona. I rented in Oakville Canada. Did not pay the .69/km as advertised. Charged me $1.11/mile. It's a rip off. I now read on consumer reporting sites that this has happened before. Trucks registered in the U.S and Canadians being charged by the mile. Also reports that U-Haul never responds. Avoid if living in Canada

The "quick" check in option on your phone is a useless service, walk around for 15 minutes to find your truck stand outside freezing trying to complete the check in process only to be directed back in the "service" area to pick up the keys and sign more paperwork that you have already signed or acknowledged. Rental car companies have figured this out years ago you are essentially the same business, however your process doesn't make anything easier for the customer make the experience more frustrating.

I arrived to pick up the vehicle at 9:00 am. There was someone waiting for me at the other end, so timing was crucial. The store was not opened until about 9:40 am. Also, the advanced check in was a waste of time and certainly doesn't cut the time down to check in by 1/2 as advertised. That said, the customer service person was pleasant, despite being put in a difficult situation.

When I dropped the vehicle off there was no one to be found to check it in. For a while there was also no one at the front desk so customers were starting to back up. It was actually quite strange.

The location where we rented the van was amazing - efficient, understanding and clean. However, the customer service over the phone was a different story, i was called 5-10 minutes after picking up the van to say that they had changed my drop off location - when i advised that was not an option as the arrangements had already been made to accomdate the first plan, the customer service rep was not very helpful until I became notably upset. I then received a text message telling me my drop off was changed to New Market - which is more than 45 minutes the other way from the location...This made an already stressful situation worse. I then had to spend time contacting customer service again only to be told that text was invalid and i would have been charged if i actually took the vehicle there.

One really disappointing part of this experience was being charged an extra $20 daily rental fee for being 30 minutes late past my expected arrival time. Booked a truck for 6 hours, returned 30 minutes late due to traffic. Yet, I can book a truck for 8 hours for the same $20. How is that fair? You've lost a repeat client because of this, I would suggest a more fair late fee charge based on how long you exceed your booking ($5 for the first hour, up to $20, etc)

There was no parking available at the location. I asked to pull onto the grass, which wasn't blocking anyone and was told no. I asked to park in back where the trucks are stored and was told no, even though there was plenty of room in the back. I had to park nearly a mile away and walk back in the rain to get the truck. I had to do the same thing when I returned the vehicle. Also, the 17 foot truck I rented on November 18 had absolutely no pickup. I rented a 27 foot a couple weeks ago and it had lots of pickup. There was a "tow/haul" light on the dash - I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but I would not rent a 17 foot again if they are all like that.

Location is convenient for me, working locally,however, management or ownership has certainly changed. Customer service =poor, professionalism =poor-average, a bunch of crunky employees. This is not the first time I have been using U-Haul!

The back door was frozen shut, the fuel was not at the level it was supposed to be at. This was the second time renting from this place as the week before I got a call the day before telling me they did not have the truck size I ordered a week in advance and I would have to go to the Mississauga location for it.

Uhaul can call you up the day before and change your reservation time and location or even cancel it with no compensation. Not the first time this has happened to me and after looking up other customer complaints it is very common. If you have a critical job do not use Uhaul.

I reserved a 26' truck 6 weeks before my move date and confirmed I would get this truck in Mississauga. 1 day before my move date I was told I have to pick up the truck in a different city and could only get a 20' truck. Not 1 26' truck in the whole GTA! This was absolutely the most stressful and inconvenient move bc of this I had to pay friends gas money to come to my house to ensure all my property could be moved as I was moving to a different city 2 hours away! The manager at uhaul was rude and advised there is nothing they can do except a 50.00 credit. Do not use this company as they can NOT ever guarantee the size of truck you will receive and customer is atrocious
