We didn’t realize pickup was a random gas station until we got to the address, but I had selected in-store pickup prior to this. When we went in to get it the person at the counter told us to do it online, so we had to explain that we had already selected the in-store option and would need to get the key from them. The person explained how the DIY/online pickup works, and we had to explain again that we selected the in-store option and need to finish the process and get the key from them, so reluctantly they went two steps over to grab the key and finally print our receipt. The gas mileage was listed as more than what was actually in the truck. Also the truck had a lock on the outside so we had to call and wait through options and on hold to get a U-haul rep on the phone who then dispatched someone to come out and cut off the lock. So even though our pickup time was 11am, we didn’t get to be in the truck until 11:40am. When we were still on the phone before they came to cut the lock, we had told to the rep about the gas mileage discrepancy and they said they’d adjust what it says to match our photo right away and rushed us off the phone, but then when we were dropping off the vehicle they said that it was supposed to have to more gas than we put back in, so we then had to explain the situation again so then they and let us leave without the extra gas cost.

Drop off person was adamant that he wanted me to return to a different location. He was not even pleasant about it. I called the Erie site and they advised me to leave at contracted drop off spot or I could face penalty. I left keys in drop off. Then I was charged for missing equipment and a dirty truck. I was able to get in touch with Uhaul customer service and charges are being reversed. Delaney location is not recommended to deal with. Horrible/non existent customer service. He tried to intimidate me into taking truck to a different location. As a 56 yr old female, I did not feel safe with this encounter due to him raising his voice to me.
MARY SI am very frustrated. I turned in my uhaul a day early and now they have charged me for another week or so... after 5 differetrn calls, I am concered they did not get this right. I will NEVER do remote check in and drop off again... very sad as my first expereice was great (as I have rented before from uhaul). frustrated!!!
SAGE MI was charged for a dolly I never used. I would suggest making sure vendors are well equipped so customers don’t have overspend during hectic times
