The vehicles drivers door had some damage that caused a very loud and annoying wind noise. Driver's side windshield did not spray washer fluid so it was difficult to see on the highway. The staff was very courteous and helpful. My friend forgot his cellphone in the truck and they called me within 10 minutes.

The company failed to thaw the cargo latches and door prior to releasing the vehicle to me. This negligence resulted in back and shoulder injury.

The loading door was not cleared away, and it was frozen shut. I was informed that assistance would take at least an hour. The whole situation could have been avoided if the truck had been checked before pick up.

On a Saturday morning, when you don't even open until 9:00am, you might have more than 1 person working. This would eliminate a lineup of over 20 people wasting more than an hour, waiting to pick up their vehicle. When it is -20°, you might also ensure tailgates and doors can be opened.

Compared to the summer months when this location is extremely busy and can be rather frustrating, the winter months are a dream come true. Plenty of inventory and staff who have the time to attend to the customer. Could not have been happier.

Have trucks at all Depot areas, give a discount to those that have to drive to get a truck. I.E. port Perry to Oshawa. Move was between storage units, 5k

I had the BEST experience, right from the get go. I stopped in for a very last minute rental, and was served quickly and efficiently. I was so impressed with the quality of the van,and with the amazing service provided by Justin Hume- his customer service with a smile was amazing. I would highly reccomend this location to anyone looking to rent a vehicle.

I was renting a cargo van to pick up a large item from a store. When I picked the van up prior to signing for the van I was shown a meter with 1/4 tank of gas. When I got in the van and started driving I noticed that the van did not have 1/4 tank of gas in it. I drove the van 13km and put $10 of gas in it to cover the gas usage. When I mentioned this to the return location worker he said he’d check the van for a leak. I don’t believe I should have had to pay that much for gas and was upset and I felt like I had been lied to about the actual amount of gas in the van to begin with. I would appreciate a partial refund

The man at the desk was extremely rude to me, I waited over an hour when I went to pick up my truck as the business was short staffed, this cut into my time of using this truck, then when I returned I was late by less than 30 minutes and he initially would not help me return it then he complained that I was late, I explained that his checkout not been twice as late as my return then it would not have been an issue. Obviously not concerned for building repeat business and going above and beyond to WOW a customer.

Back of the truck was dirty and the appliance cart would have been forgotten had I not reminded the person at U'haul and the cart was SO filthy it actually stained flooring and carpets in my house.

No light in the back of the truck!! They didn't replace the bulb and had to unload in the dark. Not acceptable!! No where to drop the trick off as drop off area was full so had to leave it in the laneway.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Considering weather conditions as of late its understandable the trailer was a bit dirt though the inside could be cleaned up a bit. Trailer door wheels were rusty making open and close somewhat annoying. The trailer lights worked when the trailer was hooked up but turned off intermittently due to a broken wire on the trailer itself. Great price rate though.

Where to begin? I reserved a box truck to be picked up in Oshawa, used to move to Toronto and then drop the truck off in Toronto. It was quick and easy. Seemed to good to be true. That’s because it was. The next day I go to pick up the UHaul. After paying I’m told that no, I can’t drop the truck off in Toronto. I was told and I quote “Yea, I don’t know why the website let’s you choose a drop off other than here because the vehicle you got can only be returned here.” Lovely. Now I have to spend more money to put gas in for the extra kms AND I have less time with the van because I have to drive ALL THE WAY BACK. Whatever. Then I’m told to wait a few minutes and I’ll be told when the truck is ready. So I go sit on some boxes and of course start dm-ing the UHaul support on Twitter about my already shotty service I’ve been receiving. After 30 mins the cashier says “Oh, are you still waiting? Your van is outside.” So I go outside and see 3 vehicles and no one to tell me which one is mine. I’m just supposed to guess? I go back in and ask exactly which one and if I just get in and drive away? He tells me it’s the van right out front and yes I just drive away. Cool. Would have been nice for someone to actually tell me my vehicle, which is not the vehicle I even reserved bc it’s a van not a 10’ box truck, and explain to me I just leave or anything else I need to know. I received no real help from the UHaul Twitter support who basically told me I was lying about what I was saying I reserved online. I couldn’t be bothered to deal with people at the location anymore as well. I think their online system needs to be fixed bc it’s obviously broken letting people choose options that don’t exist and there needs to be some retraining at the Taunton location on how to interact with customers. The whole experience was a mess and I will definitely be using Penske, Discount or Enterprise next time.
