Took over 45 mins to even get to counter to rent a truck and then was quoted 400 deposit for a truck rental when on the phone they said it was only 100 deposit

Fast, friendly and professional. I didn't realize how easy it would be. Online check- in prior to picking up was a great idea.
Chose to do the mobile pickup option for the first time and it did not go well. Arrived to find my truck not in the main lot, called and spoke to a rep, as I was talking I decided to wander to the back lot behind the building next door where there was some trucks. Spot looked like a maintenace yard, it was pitch black out as I picked it up at night. Found my truck to be back there and blocked in. Rep on phone changed my truck to a different one, trying to do the picture verification in the pitch of darkness because there was no lights sucked as well as the lock wouldn't open on the truck, finally opened the back and got the keys, interior light did not work and there was so much spilt coffee in the cup holder it was like tar wiping it out and I had to stop to clean the inside of the windshield it was so dirty. Once I finally was able to drive away everything went well and returned it using the app which was ok
Well when I went to return the trailer there was only one cashier in 20 something people inside so much for social distancing and they were lined up outside kind of ridiculous they have three counters and no one there working except for one cashier had to wait at least 45 minutes to pay for my rentalnext time I guess I'll just let it go to my credit card $22 and some on cents I just figured I would pay with debit instead of charging it and paying interest what a mistake that was
Not sure if I'd recommend....I waited in line and did the preliminary paper work. Then I had to go to my car and take pictures of license and download. This took several tries. The wifi was terrible. Then I had to line up again ....and the lineup was longer. The whole process took way to long.
Lately I've been renting frequently with moving and getting daughter to university. I ALWAYS use this location and have never had a problem. Other people I know have tried different locations and have had headaches.
Checking in and out was faster than expected. And the staff were nice. ( I've read some reviews that were opposite ). When returning the trailer I noticed one light was out on the left side - would suggest that you repair it. Thank you it went well. Tes

Staff at this location are simply amazing! They each were very helpful in finding a suitable truck to assist us with our move . Though we had to change our moving schedule due to unforeseen issues with booking and the overall move , they were very understanding and were able to accommodate us. The employees were all very positive, warm and extremely hard working when it comes to the satisfaction of the customers. They each worked great with each other and demonstrated their teamwork excellently, all while the line up was out the door and with different needs from each customer they put everyone at ease and made us all feel like we were more than customers, but apart of the uhaul family. Our experience was great and we would definitely recommend this location to all friends and family.
This was the first time I had a little bit of disappointment with this location. On Saturday I arrived to U-Haul 5 minutes before closing to notify the staff that my friend, the driver, is on his way and did arrive as one of the staff members was about to lock the door at 7pm. Myself, I would have stayed the extra 5-10 minutes to check the truck back in but then I am a nice person who is all about customer satisfaction but unfortunately the staff that night would not do the check in return. I would highly suggest that U-Haul tell employees that if a customer returns a vehicle right at closing time, go ahead and check them in. That extra 5-10 minutes goes a long way with your customers.
The Corporate experience was very good. The representatives I spoke with were knowledgeable, helpful and very professional. I made three calls, each call I was on hold approximately 15 minutes. At the retail level, the employees were focused and efficiently helped me as quickly as possible. I would have appreciated a brief tutorial on the text message to confirm the condition of the vehicle prior to leaving the lot. Two issues stood out as problematic: 1. Serious irritation: When I pick up the rental, it had three-eights of a tank of gas, and I was informed that if I returned it with less that, three-eights of a tank, I would be charged. I knew I was travelling in excess of 150 kms through rural Ontario, but how much gas to purchase so that I would end up back at three-eights? I took a guess and returned the rental with five-eights of tank, but received no compensation for the extra gas. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and the retail office is double-dipping: the first dip is charging the previous customer for not filling up the tank, the second dip is relying on customers like me slowly refill the tank over time. Going forward, I expect the tank to be filled before I take the rental (Great idea, if I really need the rental, who has who over the barrel?). The rule of returning the rental with the same amount of fuel is being abused by this rental office. 2. A minor annoyance: Next to my vehicle was another that was oddly parked and at the back end was only inches away from my rental. It was difficult to enter my rental and then to back it out of its parking spot.
I paid with my debit and they took a deposit amount as well. Today when I received my receipt it said that I would be receiving a check in 4 to 6 weeks my deposit amount. Make sure you ask if you use debit.

i was really pissed trying to return the rental. I was told had to do it online and the 1st clerk wasn;t willing to show me how to do it. As it turned out you had to stand outside and directly UNDER the wifi box to do it finally. I don't want that kind of hassle returning something

Representative working at front was very short and did not explain the process well.
We reserved 2 of the larger trailers for a move. One of our helpers was limited on time and we planned on getting as much as we could moved in the shortest number of trips possible. When we showed up they had canceled one of the trailers on us and only had one large trailer available. They compensated us by giving us a smaller trailer and charging us for 2 small trailers which was a nice gesture but it didn't help the move go quickly. This is not the first or the second or even the third time that this specific location has messed up. In the past I've booked trailers on the web site and when I've shown up to the location they say that it has to be back in an hour or two as they have it double booked when I've booked it for the full day. I've rented from other locations and never had issues like I do at this specific location. It's been a few years since I've rented from uhaul and I'm not impressed to see that things haven't changed at this location.
Although I inspected the trailer when I picked it up, I did not notice that the interior stunk like slipped motor oil. As we began to load the trailer with bedroom furniture, including a mattress, we had to stop and wash the floor of the trailer. It was very obvious that the previous renter used it to transport used motor oil and it had spilled but was never cleaned up. Thank you.
