The costumer service was bad . Try her need to be improved.


Whilst the vans were great and the rental went well, the staff lady at the front desk was rude and downright awful with her behaviour. I'm not going to get into it over here. I was about to cancel the reservation due to this. However, other than that, everything else was lovely!

Be upfront and honest. I was charged for coverage when i did not want it. I made the reservation without protection and assumed since the guy called for a reference he was doing so for that reason. He did not mention to me that he added it on to my bill. It wasn’t until I returned the van that I saw I was charged for it. Never going back to you again and I’m telling everyone how shady you guys are.

The attendant was VERY rude! Did not give us Additional/different options pertaining to the rental. Your policy on having back up references is uncalled for and SHOULD be MADE CLEAR IN THE INTIAl contract AND that the driver MUST HAVE thier phone in hand when picking up, since you NEED TO CALL IT! This makes the pick up process smooth and LESS STRESSFUL! To ALL!! It was a horrible experience and igual need to crea at more friendly customer service workshops for your employees to attend on a regular basis! You also NEED to give them better incentives, to be their best!

I paid for moving blankets that I never received. My pick up location was changed 24 hours in advance to an extremely inconvenient location. When we brought the truck to the apartment I was moving it was frozen shut and we had to wait for road side assistance. I will not be using uhaul ever again. I tried to complain about the moving blankets I paid for and never received and no one would help me or even reimburse me for the cost which is ridiculous. It should not be so hard to get halfway decent customer service this was a horrible experience.

I had an issue with reservations for 4 days and I wasnt able to get the truck I reserved when I reserved it and when I did get a truck I was given something smaller than I reserved sent to a different location to pick up and I was given a truck that was all beat up had over 100k miles and I had to drive locally as I wasnt able to get on the highway due to the truck shaking and felt like it was going to break down when I would go 40mph I reported it when I returned the truck and they took it our of service as I told them I wasnt safe for anyone to drive it other than that the customer service was ok could have been better especially when I explained the issue to them .

First time renting a uhaul in NY. I have only lived and rented uhaul’s in California. Everything up until I had to return my car was perfect. I was not recognized or told what to do when I returned my vehicle. The staff did not tell me what to do until I noticed other customers were being taken care of after me and asked. It was as if I didn’t exist. I will likely try Enterprise next time to see if the experience experience is better.

I wish the gas would’ve started with a full tank of gas instead of 1/4. I had to guess how much gas to put in and ended up losing money because I returned it at 1/2 tank and was unable to be reimbursed.

Much improvement needed. No representative was able to communicate alternative drop off options, truck cleaning requirements, or truck driving details. “Easy pick up and drop off” is not at all the case with uhaul. I designated 6:30 pick up and waited 45 minutes before I received the truck. I received a call to change my truck to a larger option without any explanation on why the location and drop off option was changed. Finally, when I tried to call the various locations throughout the city - not one phone was available for customer service. This made me lose time and additional driving mileage to visit a location in person, adding various inconveniences. Lastly, uhaul should provide customers with details on which roads/expressways are trucks are not Allowed. I would NEVER recommend not use again.

Your registration process is a nightmare. It’s long and frustrating, illogical and repetitive, and downright hostile. Nothing is smooth and your customers feel downtrodden and mistrusted.
