I called customer service because I left a cardboard package with a drill inside in the front passenger seat of the 9’ van rental. When I described the item, the uhaul rep took down what I said and told me they would call me back. I missed their call back. When I called the customer service number again they told me they had no record of my conversation that had happened 5 minutes prior. This second uhaul rep told me that they would call me back. They never did. Today, several days later, I get a call from a third uhaul rep telling me that she wanted to follow up about my report of plastic boxes in the van. I corrected her by telling her that I reported a cardboard package with a drill inside. She put me on hold for minutes to check something and then told me that my plastic boxes were not found. This is when I got sick of uhaul as a company and lost respect for the employee hiring and tracking. I corrected this rep by telling her again that it was a cardboard package with a drill, not plastic boxes. I have no idea what is going on with uhaul’s customer service. I want to write a yelp, tweet, Facebook, and Instagram message on uhaul’s pages for the public to know to never leave a package or anything inside of a uhaul rental because they are not safe and hire incompetent workers and thieves.

I booked a truck online from a different location at Allen Ave PAsadena CA from 4pm to 8pm. The order was approved. On the day of the move ( a few days after the order was approved) I got a call from the location saying that they don't do night drop off and that I need to change my reservation. Please take care of that and make sure the website works in coordination with the actual service available at your locations.

The staff was dishonest with me about the fuel. They said to bring it exactly where it was when I got it. When I returned They told me to go take the truck to the gas station on the corner and fill it with $20 of fuel. I went and did this and actually put in $22 dollars and apparently that wasn’t good enough as they proceeded to charge me for the fuel and they where rude about it. A black guy as well as a guy I think his name was jake Robles. Terrible customer service. Won’t be using your location anymore. No reason to since there are other u hauls around.

I rented a 17' truck from the store on 552 Raymond in Pasadena yesterday afternoon. When I returned the truck an hour ago the service agent was exceedingly rude and obnoxious to me. There was some dust in the cargo area of the truck (we had already swept it twice after dropping off our load). He said that I needed to clean it out. I was still holding the broom so I said ok I'll resweep it to get the last bit of dust out. He said that that wasn't good enough and that I needed to mop it! Really??? There were ground-in greasy stains on the bottom of the cargo area that were there when we rented it, and which were in no way caused by our move. He tried to say that we had made those stains when we hadn't. That he was going to keep our security deposit because of it. I was shocked at how rude this man was. This is obviously a scam that Uhaul rents out beat up old trucks and then tries to intimidate the customer in order to collect more money. Beware that their advertised "$29.95" rental will become upwards of $90 for less than 24 hours use with no extra equipment. I will never EVER rent from Uhaul again.

Please clean the windshield. The inside windshield was filthy and had footprints. I couldn't see very well outside in direct sunlight due to the thick haze on the windshield. It's truly a safety issue.

They charged me a gas fee of $7.00 because the hurried employee did not fill out the form correctly. They said they would take that fee off of my bill but that has yet to happen. Poor service and gouge not good.

The van was really smelly! I think it may have been from the rubber pads in the back, but it was really overwhelming. Maybe crack the windows when not in use or use some sort of air freshener?

I paid for a dolly and the guy who helped me didn’t put it in the trailer. Even after I specifically asked him to make sure it didn’t roll around in there. I called 5 different times to make sure I wouldn’t be charged for the dolly. The location I rented from said they couldn’t make the adjustment and told me to call their 800 number. The rep in the traffic and scheduling dept. kept telling me the uhaul location I picked up from had to do it. I left two messages for James Decker, the GM at that location, and I never heard back from him. Moving day is the worst day for someone else to be compassionless, especially to a customer.

Everything was the poorest service ever, I went online to schedule my rent and system said to skip the line do the check in,I did but guess what I have to wait in the rent place more than 30 minutes to do the paper work and then to get the truck, I told one of the guys where’s the skip line to do it faster “ he laugh “ there’s no skip line, the truck was dirty and really bad smell but no more rents on Raymond

Truck was good, yard staff were excellent. General Manager was unhelpful. He told me there was no available parking on the lot and I would have to park on the street which was 2 max. I had to park on the street 1/4 mile away and walk meanwhile there was at least a dozen empty spaces on the lot that he says were for trucks only. Totally absurd. This location is the pits. You need to hear this IF YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH CUSTOMER PARKING YOU WON’T BE RENTING TRUCKS!
