Trailer I rented was filthy, and would not track cleanly behind my pickup. Cost me at least 2 days on the road with my physical limitations and a poor trailer to truck set up


I rented a truck from this location and had mechanical issues with it in Sedona AZ. The check engine light came on and it sounded like the transmission was going to drop out of the truck. I repeatedly called road side assistance and after sitting on the side fo the road with no response I contacted another UHaul that was kind enough to let me drop the truck off in Cottonwood. I never drove the truck back, but I believe I was charged as if I did. The manager at the Peoria location was INCREDIBLY rude to me. She seemed to imply that there was nothing wrong with the truck and that maybe I was trying to get out of paying part of the fee. I can assure you, sitting on the side of the road while on hold with your road side assistance is not my idea of a fun way to spend a late afternoon and there was NO way I was driving that truck home through a mountain pass in the condition is was in with the engine light on. I do have the folks that were kind enough to pick me up as witnesses to the entire incident and the condition of the truck. I will never go to this location again. Luckily, I have found a couple of very nice alternatives. I use UHAUL quite a bit for my business. I know that truck rental facilities are very busy right now, but that will change at some point. I hope the Peoria location gets a new manager prior to any downturn. I'm still disputing the charge with my credit card company.

When I dropped the trailer off the young lady that helped me was a total jerk rude and confusing and had to deal with I am not sure why When I pulled in she was in a truck mopping it out I waved at her waited a moment then went in the store Then she came in like 10 min later and said what am I dining in here I stated trying to return a trailer then she was a total jerk about how stupid I must be to think I need to go in the store I then did all that she said to do and she was still super rude I don't know her name but the feeling is sure stuck with me I will try another store next time


Manager Erica Marquez is excellent at her job and its reflected in the pleasant attitudes conveyed by all her associates. They are a wonderful team thanks in large measure to her leadership, and the fact that she too is a full-fledged team member. Couldn't be better.

The service center called me the day prior to the pick up date to let know that they didn't have my truck at the chosen location, so, I had to come here. The staff was courteous and friendly.

I had three blow outs and three trailer exchanges with not only put my family's life in danger but also delayed my timeline of travel by two days. I'm a military member and will not recommend or use uhaul in the future as the equipment was faulty and endangered my family's life especially my kids in danger.

Dirty truck, windows never cleaned as well as windshield wipers shot and scrape indents in windshield from worn wiper blades. Truck went to Utah with snow and rain. Tried to call on hold over 30 min. Hung up and went to 67th and bell Glendale. Special shout to Austin. Explained truck was going to rain and snow. Gave me 2 wipers to replace worn out ones. Come on guys this is commonsense.

I rated as average because the staff was really nice and easy to work with at drop off. But the system to get the truck at 7am was horrible. It took me 30-45 minutes to get the key. The process is a bit of a hassle.

Well organized, customer friendly, easy and quick.


Only problem was told my gas tank was full it showed at the F mark which I thought was the Full mark, but when I went to fill up when I was done, the amount I put in was well above the F mark that I thought indicated the tank was full. Because of this I put in more fuel than was necessary.

What a contrast to the pickup location on Preston Hiway in Louisville, KY. Friendly people jumped when I arrived, went through all the checks quickly and after removing the trailer, Mark S. took the extra time to wire my electrical wires tightly to the hitch. Very friendly and receipt was ready in about 30 seconds. Good place. They advised me earlier about size and capacity of trailers that I would need for the move.

I have rented U-Haul trucks for moving 3 times in the last two weeks From 19th Ave. and Glendale (for my friend, a oneway rental) also from 67th Ave. and Bethany home rd , both of those U-Haul‘s are great no problems check in check out no hassles no problems, they know what they're doing. Apparently the U-Haul at 8746 west Bell road Does not know what they're doing. This has been the worst experience ever. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! They charged my debit card three times for the same truck rental. I pre-paid for the truck rental online and they put a hold on your account for the rental ( This amount will change according to the miles you used.when you take the truck back then they will either credit or debit your account accordingly) when I got to the store the employee told me oh well we need your card to complete the rental and I said no I've already paid, I already have a hold on my account from when I rented it online last night. he said well I just need your card to complete the rental, he tricked me, Because he then ran a second charge on my card. Then he said he needed to change the trucks because the truck was parked in too tight and he couldn't pull the truck out that they actually had on hold for me. So he changed the contract with the new truck and brought the paperwork out and it said I was keeping the truck for two days so it was a double charge which he also ran on my card. I told him this contract is wrong I'm not keeping the truck for two days it's double the amount. so he had to go get a third set of paperwork and reprint and fix it. Which was actually also wrong they had my husbands name on there when I had put my son as primary driver and as the name on the contract. He said well it doesn't matter. At this time I had no idea he had been charging my debit card. I discovered this later it was 6 PM and the store stayed open till 7 PM so I went back with my debit card thinking they're going to just run a credit for the two charges that were not supposed to be there and leave the third one till tomorrow when I brought the truck back I'm fine with that. He told me he could not credit my account and the manager left at 4 o'clock and she was the only one that can do a credit to my account, Even though I was triple charged. So I called customer service to see if they could help me After an hour on the phone With Customer Service, They finally talked to the manager so she could come down to the store and credit my account with the two charges. Customer Service actually called her so I can talk to her directly. She told me they could not credit my account until after we turn the truck and the charges fell off at my bank. Customer Service told me 3 to 5 business days I told her this was not acceptable she should just run a credit on my account for the other two charges I told her I was sitting in front of the store and I had my debit card and they could just run a credit for the two charges that were not supposed to be there, she then gave me the option of crediting all three charges and putting in a 4th charge on my card creating a completely new truck rental (which I needed my sons drivers license for and he's not here he's with the truck moving stuff.) I was afraid for them to run a fourth charge on my account who knew what amount that would be for. In the same sentence she told me but I don't know how many days it's gonna take for those charges to credit at your bank, it depends on your bank so of course I didn't want to put a fourth charge on there too. I understand everybody makes mistakes everybody's human But that's what managers and supervisors are for to fix the mistakes that their employees have made. apparently the employee needs some classes or something so he knows how to properly look up the information showing that people already paid so he doesn't recharge them multiple times. Or the manager needs to stay and supervise. If you want to rent a truck from U-Haul DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! they will overcharge you and not correct the problem. I expected the manager to fix the problem or customer service to fix the problem. It was the same day the same accounting period Same business day, The books have not been closed yet and there is no reason they could not have just credited those two charges. If I had went to Macy's or JCPenney's or any other business and they did a oops charge they wouldn't get a credit immediately. The manager just did not want to come down to the store. Everybody pass it off to somebody else and nobody fixed the problem. It was a hassle from start to finish and we haven't even returned the truck yet. Hopefully tomorrow will run a lot smoother.

Have RESERVED & confirmed equipment WHERE expected....not across town. I flew into town and was lucky to have access to a vehicle so I could collect rentals, almost took shuttle to original rental site and would have been stranded.

Good overall experience...


I had reserved a 26' truck one way from AZ to 92021. When I arrived there was no 26' truck available, I had no option but to rent a 20' and a additional add on to the back of the 20' for an additional fee of $160+, the error was on U-haul yet I received no discount for all the inconvenience and was also charged for additional mileage.
