Called the day before to confirm the furniture dolly was not gonna be an issue as I was doing self pickup while they were closed. They assured me it wouldn’t be an issue as the dolly would be in the truck. No dolly was in the truck. Location has a “west parking lot” that is not referenced in the pickup instructions. The photos did not match the location of the truck. I had to call the scheduling manager to figure it all out and be guided which delayed our day

Equipment was a quarter mile away from pick up location. Had to drive to pick it up. Inside was dusty and dirty.
Heller GWe picked up Uhaul with the tank on E and low gas indicator light was on. Guy at front desk said “you probably have enough gas to get to a gas station but I’m not sure.” Guy at front desk also disclosed that whoever rented the truck prior to us had just returned it that day after being 5 days overdue and had left truck on E as well as had obviously been living in the truck when they finally returned it. He said he “cleaned it as best as he could but that it had a little bit of weird smell” since it was obvious people had been smoking in the cab of the truck. I cannot even describe the reek and potent smell of cigarettes they the truck cabin smelt like. So strong. Also office of the storage facility managing the fleet of trucks smelt heavily of marijuana. Just overall felt unprofessional.

I’ve left voice messages about questions that never got answered and my brother returned the key he told us he would help the next morning
