Our experience with customer service at the Overbrook location was extremely poor. The gentleman (Asian) who assisted us was unprofessional and impatient, particularly because we were not familiar with the reservation scheduling process. We needed a few moments to understand the information being provided, and he became visibly annoyed when we did not immediately decide on a pickup time. Additionally, without verbally informing us, he scheduled my 74-year-old husband to pick up the truck at a different location. We were not made aware of this change until after the fact, and as a result, we are now being charged over $400 for returning the truck to the Overbrook location. This was never explained or agreed to and feels extremely unfair. When we picked up the truck, the gas gauge showed a quarter tank of gas. We were told by Brianna (very professional) to return the truck with the same amount. Despite doing so, we later received a receipt charging us $45 for fuel. When I attempted to contact the U-Haul location on Haverford Avenue in Overbrook to address this issue, the automated phone system disconnected several times, preventing us from speaking to anyone. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Customers should be treated with respect, clearly informed of all details related to their rental, and not subjected to unexplained or excessive charges. Please stop taking advantage of customers, this is not fair.
