I was charged over a thousand dollars for a 3day rental for a 16ft box truck. I was quoted the first day for $113 dollars and wasn’t informed how much I was being charged per mile. I asked for a quote for the second day for a 150 miles and didn’t get a call back. He stated he wasnt in the office. I called the 3day and spoke with a different person and asked for a quote for a 150 miles and never received any quote. The only reason I stayed in the truck because I was obligated to fulfill my contract I had making deliveries.. was up under time constraints with my deliveries and had no ride to come pick me up if I decided to return to truck. I rented the truck at 12:30 Tuesday and returned it 12:40 Friday. I tried to get a how figure out how much I was being charged and was told that U-Haul keeps them out of it and that I would receive an email. I feel taken advantage of I basically feel like I was robbed. I will tell people to stay away from U-Haul and go with penske truck rental..

After return I received an email that the truck was never returned. Then when I confirmed it was returned I was significantly overcharged for mileage. My round trip mileage was 13 miles and I was charged for 56 miles. I find this unacceptable and will continue to dispute the charge. If not resolved I will not return to U-Haul in the future.
