This is my second experience here. The first time I was a young naive college student, whom, when stating that I did not own a credit card sent the owner into a downright self-pitying spiral. The second time, my roommate and I went to pick up the u-haul. Literally the first thing out of this man's mouth was that his opinion of the millennial generation is that the government needs to reinstate the draft. I have heard this man drone on about everything from how the uhaul business is horrible and he doesn't even know why he's in it, to how the foreign students on campus are more likely to keep their word conpared to the American students. He even went on to base his initial trust on us (because we are American students) on whether or not we voted in the presidential primaries. This establishment only stays open because Platteville is in need. Browning Motors disgusts me on more than one level, but I'm sure I'll be back if continues to decide where I'm going to pick up my uhaul from, because, I am from Platteville, and I am in need.

Really, don't you get notes from your ignorant dispatcher? ?That truck was filthy inside,broke down on interstate, rear breaks locked up,power steering fluid leaking making turns almost impossible, had a uhaul mechanic come and pick up truck,because I refused to drive it any further. ..Then you keep my deposit and charge me more money??!!! I think you better be refunding me all of money,attorney general is going to be notified as well! !!I would NEVER use or recomend anyone to use uhaul to move across the street! !!! Ignorant pigs. .



the gentleman was reading an article online when we arrived. He finished reading the article and then began a 15 min one sided conversation about politics and religion. This was uncalled for.



My son picked up the trailer for me and the lights were not working properly, the person at Browning Motors sent him home and told him to try plugging it in to a different vehicle and see if that fixes the problem. Obviously that did not fix the problem, after being transferred several times on the phone you sent a repair man to fix the problem; and he did fix it. We picked up the trailer at approximately 12:00p.m. and we were able to start loading it at 7:00 pm after it was repaired. While traveling from Iowa to Tennessee the brake lights quit working, we called Uhaul AGAIN only to be told that they would not send a service person to repair lights. We were told that we could take it to a service center over an hour away from where we were. By now we are out of time and patience, so my husband decided that he would fix it himself. We were told that these trailers are inspected, obviously NOT!

Person checking people in was very pleasant but appeared to have early dementia as he seemed to struggle with the checkin process and the computer. He needed to ask the license plate about 5 times, still didn't get it, and then had the customer write it down. The customer spoke very clearly and plenty loud. Fortunatly, I had checked in on line so my info was in the system. When he was assisting me he did offer that he has trouble with his one ear, so maybe that was it. Just made the process take 45 minutes vs expected 15- 20 for both customers. The woman I spoke with on the phone the day before was great and very occomodating.She even had our trailer delivered from elsewhere so that it would be there at 11am vs noon...we ordered it online for noon.



Have used drop off location before. Conveniently located. Truck was great.



The owner of this location rented me a truck KNOWING that it was broken down. The truck died several times before I even made it to my loading destination.

Placed order 8 weeks in advance and after driving 2 1/2 hours to a town that has 3 UHaul locations I had to drive another 1/2 hr to pick location in another state.



hard to find was a hole in the wall only found it because it had another uhaul parked outside.

I disagree with extra charges. Gas reading I feel wrong, I fully believe I had filled tank to level at which I picked up vehicle. I also disagree with mileage estimate. I had to go 20 miles extra to pick up and approx. 40 miles extra to drop off. I made no "extra" driving in between.



Owner needs to be a bit more friendly. He may have been having a bad day, but I felt like I was an annoying hassle rather than a valued customer.

I have never seen a more disorganized business in my life. Dirty, not friendly and poor communication. Also ended up with additional charges at the end with no communication as to why. It was just charged to my card.

While the agent offered me a "free" trailer he did not have the truck size I ordered - it was one size smaller. He did tell me I could drive to Lancaster WI to pick one up...I ordered this well in advance and it should have been there. The agent told me not to ever order online because it often gets screwed up and I should just call the local agent.



When we picked up the trailer, we selected a drop off location then 2 days later I get a message confirming a different location. When I called to switch it back to the one we selected the Rep couldn't give me an answer on why it was switched. Communication seems to be lacking between Reps.
