I was told to bring the truck back full. I used the truck for 15 miles, stopped at the gas station a filled it. It took 4.5 gallons. Obviously it wasn’t full when I was given the truck. I asked the attendant about the extra gas I put in an was told there is no reimbursement. So I get the extra $14 charge I am unimpressed

When I went to pick up my reserved vehicle, the wrong type of vehicle was listed. Thankfully, they had the one I wanted so it turned out ok. Once she started to do my contract there was a half hour delay because the computer system would not allow her to do it online. It wasnt until she made a call, my original order had to be cancelled and it was processed as a walk in. I found this very frustrating.

I rent from U-Haul regularly. The rental was fine. It was like new, actually one of the better units I've rented. The only problem is 10-days later after the return my card is being charged for an additional rental period. I tried to reply to the email that indicates: "If you have any questions or concerns about your moving experience or the attached receipt, please contact me at 754002_AFM@uhaul.com" but I received an automated message that the email address only accepts from within the organization. I rented the evening of a Friday, after work. At pick up the rep told me that as long as it was returned at clean, at proper fuel level and before they opened the next day, i wouldn't be charged any more. I didn't think it odd because I've rented on a weekend before and had similar terms told to me. It's not the money, it's the principle. I don't know if its just this particular location (first time going there), but I NEVER had this kind of issue before. Sincerely, A disappointed customer

National mostly focuses on their storage facility and the Uhaul services are a small part of operations. Uhaul did change my reservation to this location but didn't include the dolly or enough blankets (got 11 of 12 I paid for). Uhaul should assist their pickup locations better to ensure the reservation equipment is available. National made a good effort to find us a dolly.

The worst service and worst owner ever encountered - truck did not work so we had to swap out for different and was told he would refund us for unused truck however charged us anyway. Will never use your service again. Basically robbed us. Terrible service and owner said he doesn’t care what anyone says about his service or company - Eric the owner so disappointing

Absolutely the worst charge me 1495 today and another $25 for cleaning which I believe I moved furniture there was only maybe a one piece of paper I have probably left customer service is the worst I’ve called 2×15 minutes on hold no one picking up apparently they don’t want to resolve any issues they just want to take your money I will be going on yelp I will be going on Facebook to vent my frustration now I have to call my bank and that’s gonna take another more half hour to 45 minutes out of my day to fix this problem on all they have to do is pick up for customer service

I appreciated how Uhaul looked for the right truck for me on their website. Every location I used was very helpful. I know you cant control your customers but the truck I used had been smoked in and it smelled funky. But overall, it had been swept out and was okay.

Arrived and there were 2 employees. The young man was obviously new & not properly trained. He offered 2 sizes of trucks at the same price, I picked the larger only for him to then tell me it was not available. He told me the gas was 59 cents a mile. It took him way too long to sign me up. I waited in the car until he was done booking me. I then went on 6/1 to get the truck, again way too long to get it. I had to ask him where it was and to pull it up for me as it was in the back. I had to ask to be shown how to open it as well, I had to give all the same info and cc card & lic again. Again, the process took way to long. Same lady there not helping him. He was so slow & not knowledgeable. She seemed uninterested in helping him in anyway & more interested in her cigarettes-smoking at the front door-ugh. Upon return, it was only her. She then tells me the price which was far more than my quote. "Gas is 99 cents a mile", she tells me. Well here I was quoted 59.She said there was nothing I could do & "that guy probably wont be here long". Again, another 30 minutes to turn in the truck! So much for customer service.... I calculate an hour and a half of my time just to get the truck. Very frustrating. I never fill surveys out but this time is a must as I will go to Home Depot next time and never recommend your services based on this frustrating experience. Kelly O'Day-#248-214-0613.

I scheduled a van for 5 hours, with the scheduled drop-off time being 7:30 pm. When I picked up the vehicle and got the key, no indication was given that the location would be closed at the drop-off time or that there would need to be any special procedure for check in. My friend and I were standing outside in the dark and the cold for over an hour on the phone with 3 different people trying to resolve the issue. The first two people simply told us, "You can't leave the van outside of the secure fenced area!!!!" and dropped our call "transferring" us to another department. A lovely Canadian named Jeff and a wonderful Cindy at the 1-800 number were able to resolve the situation and went above and beyond for us. There is apparently NO SET PROCEDURE for after-hours drop off and the issues that may occur at that time. Check carefully the hours of operation at your drop-off location and make sure to get clarification if your scheduled drop-off is after hours. Whether somebody dropped the ball and forgot to mention special steps to take for drop-off or whether they just thought we could figure it out ourselves, the whole situation was an unpleasant surprise and hugely stressful -- not what I needed after an emotional afternoon moving out of my ex's house.
