The first problem was when I picked up the truck. I had rented two 4 wheel dollies with my truck and when I got there they said they did not have any. They commented "we haven't seen any of those in months". This was a big problem for me as U-Haul is the only company I could find that even offers them and is ultimately the reason I chose them. Then comes the truck itself. It was in very poor condition. The first thing I noticed is that the brakes did not work very well at all. This all made sense as I did not get 3 miles down the road and an alarm started beeping and the "service brakes" light came on the dashboard. The bottom line is I should have been told I could not rent the dollies and in my opinion, their equipment is not safe. I will not be renting from U-Haul again.

This review may look confusing, but I will explain. We opened the pack of blankets to use and they were damp and stank of mildew. We had no choice but delay our packing while they dried but they made everything stink of mildew. When we got back the agent basically said that we could have made them that way and he had no way of knowing. Basically accusing us of lying. And then tried to stare us down. I won't recommend that people go there, I will recommend that people go to the Uhaul on 52. That was where I returned the previous rental and they were super awesome.

This is the 3rd time in 9 months that I have rented a Cargo Van from U-Haul Moving & Storage of Jasmine Lakes. All 3 times I received excellent, quick service from the Staff. This particular site is set-up for easy pick-up and return. I also liked that my personal vehicle was safe while it was parked in the lot outside the Office during the 6 hours that I was using the U-Haul Cargo Van.

The “Customer service” rep Kristin needs to be retrained and taught what customer service means and entails. First she refused to rent to my spouse because his ID was cracked. Then I decided to do the rental myself and the power goes out. She calls “traffic” to direct me elsewhere. She has my ID with my current mailing address & I am moving to a new apt 10 mins away so When she asks me where am I bringing the truck I told her I didn’t remember my new address but why did that matter ? She then proceeded to tell me she can’t rent to me because she I can’t give her an address to where I’m going (which is ridiculous because that has never been an issue before &I use to work for cube smart storage and never needed a “going to” address on file). This whole time while being on the phone with traffic , the woman on the line asked her to pass us the phone and she refused because it’s her personal phone. The rep shakira had to call us on my cell phone to continue the rental. This whole time I’m speaking to Traffic, my spouse is on his phone talking to the general Manager Kevin and Kevin was extremely rude and lied saying they didn’t have the truck we needed so they couldn’t rent to us regardless, meanwhile we are standing in front of the truck they had reserved for us. On return of the truck I was charged $1 extra and I was a mile under. This place is a little out of wack and seems fairly new and looks like they are turning the huge warehouse into storage rooms.. I suggest you guys get someone with patience and amazing customer service background to retrain who they think is a good enough rep. The process to get the trailer took over 30 min after I already made a reservation. Then when I went to the drop off location and it had a fence around it wasting another hour of my time. Finally we found an open one and got to return the trailer. Poor poor experience here’s my email if you have any other questions firstname.lastname@example.org

The facility was in a boarded up abandon prior business. Not a very inviting facility. The personnel was very and friendly and professional. Not the normal U-Haul facility I have seen in the past.

Fix your online processing! I placed my order and even did the online ecpress check-in. I was emailed my confirmation with the location, got there, they did not have the truck or my reservation. They did try to find me a truck, just before I got there another location called me and they had my truck and I was 30 minutes late, did I still want it. I said no I was sent somewhere else on my confirmation. Then I get to the other place and my reservation was canceled and I had to wait while we started over with my information. Don't use online, call your closes location for youy reservation!

I was appalled and disappointed with the service and dishonesty of the employees at the return. We had a mandatory evacuation and rented this 5x8 trailer to take what we could if we had to start over and we went up north. We were not allowed to return until Thursday morning (which we did) , but due to traffic and gas issues, we got home Friday at 2:30 am. My husband got up as early as he could to empty the trailer and get it back in the morning time because when I called on Tuesday to find out about extending the rental to Friday, we were told we had to have it back by 7 am, 8 am at the latest or we would be charged another day. I told the girl on the phone that I wasn't sure if we would make it back in time for that early in the morning, could we bring it in a little later that day and not get charged, she said she would have her supervisor call me. No one called. My husband got the trailer in before 10 am and they still charged him the extra day, even though they told him to his face they wouldn't. We paid almost $260 for a trailer to evacuate our family from a potentially life threatening situation, only to see an article touting U-Hauls horn because they offered FREE storage to hurricane Irma victims. We are Irma victims, too, but we were charged more than what we were told, which hurts more because this was not something we could have afforded if we weren't evacuated and now we can't afford to buy food for the next two weeks. Thanks Irma and UHaul!
