You ask how this location was, but not how my overall experience was?...Because that was terrible. I booked a truck to pick up overnight. I drive 2 hours in the night to get the truck, I arrive at a Chandler, Az location where it was booked and it says my pickup had expired. I call corporate customer service and get told exactly this... You were half an hour late to pick up so we gave your truck to someone else who will pick it up tomorrow. I ask where in the fine print it says I must pick up AT the specified time. She tells me its not in the fine print and this happens often. She then tells me call regional customer service in the morning. So I call first thing in the morning. This rep tells me the same thing...yeah nowhere in your contract does it say you must pickup AT the pickup time...sorry. Oh and there are no other trucks available... THIS IS WRONG! You completely screwed me uhaul. I end up having to change all my plans, cancel my moves, drive back up to Prescott, rearrange child care, rearrange storage unit move in days...it was a nightmare all because YOU Uhaul screwed me...and this came from the very mouths of TWO of your customer service reps. Neither of which did anything but give me the petty $50 reimbursement... $50 bucks doesn't replace the time, money and gas I spent fixing YOUR error....I end up getting a truck the next week at the San Tan location. Thank goodness for you Uhual that this stud of an employee Caden works there. I was prepared to curse the name of Uhaul until I died to every living soul I came across (and Im not being dramatic, I was pissed off). BUT, Caden made everything right. He was very helpful, agreed what happened was wrong, ALSO agreed that things like this are common with the company and he wants to make them better. He eliminated MORE petty charges that came up in my account. CADEN SAVED THIS TRANSACTION....He was excellent and needs to be paid a lot more than he does, and be in charge of a lot more than he is. What your customer service reps failed to do, he corrected as best he could. Uhaul, you need to give Caden a raise because instead of me cursing your name to everyone I know, I now explain how Uhaul screwed me BUT they had this GREAT employee who actually made it right and I would actually use Uhaul again, with great caution though.

The location was fine, it was U-Haul service that is sooo bad. It was a nightmare. I reserved the 26 ft truck for Saturday when friends and family could help. I went to pick up and to my surprise, they didn't have one. The employee was shocked because I showed him my confirmation on my phone with his location. I had driven far because I needed a 26 ft. Truck. He was told of a different location available for me the next day. Sunday. But now I had to go even further. When I was told no truck , I almost had a heart attack. I kept waiting for my next confirmation email, but didn't get one. So I was on phone from 7-9 on Sunday, everyone just keeps passing a different number to call and you end up at same place. I had had a similar experience 2 weeks before when the 26 ft truck didn't start when picking up, so I did get a 100 dollar certificate. That I tried to use but the employee said I couldn't use it. That was my nightmare after nightmare with U-Haul.

Staff here are so helpful. We first rented a container and had it shipped across the country then a week or so later we rented a drive uhaul. The website should make it clear that you do not get a ramp with anything smaller than the 15 foot. We basically needed it to transport a washer and dryer and a couple mattresses. I was so thankful for uhaul for catching that and upgrading us.

The alignment was so off in the truck. I had to get at 15ft instead of 20 ft with less than 24 hours notice. The tire pressure was extremely low. The alignment was so messed up that I had a blow out on the right tire.

I was passed around from one rep to another and had a long wait time. Then the rep left me mid transaction to help someone else after I had already been passed to him leaving me hanging again. I was told checking in online would half my wait time and it took me almost 30 minutes to get out the door with the keys. Not very encouraging for a first visit.

When you make an appoint at a location you actually honor it! Or have the common decency to call let me know prior to getting there! I had movers that were waiting for me! Instead I had to waste time and money getting it straightened out then going to another location!!! I will never use uhaul again!
