The 15 foot truck I requested was not actually 15 feet of usable floor space inside the truck. The floor space was a little over 12 feet, but the way U-Haul actually measures is from the front of the small space above the cab “Grandma's attic” to the rear of the truck. The floor space measurement should be the primary measurement used by U-Haul so customers actually know the space available. If this was the advertised measurement I would have gotten a 20 foot truck instead of a 15 foot which made me make two trips.
