Hey there, Staff was friendly and hustled to help me get on my way, I appreciated their work ethic. The truck had check engine light on as well as the truck door was very difficult to open and close. The wires were tangled and jammed. Had to use extreme force to get them opened or closed. Luckily for me I wasn't by myself or that would have been a problem.

When the counter man and I were finishing up the paperwork, I was asked for an ATM or credit card, I automatically handed him my ATM card. After I used the card, I realized I had mad a mistake. I asked to use my credit card instead. The counter man was explained to me my ATM card would not be charged and there would be a HOLD on my checking account. He further explained the HOLD would not affect my checking account. I explained to him there would not be enough money in the checking account to pay for the truck and the moving helpers and reassured me the HOLD would not affect my checking account and I could use my credit card to pay for the truck rental. WRONG, my bank charged me overdraft fees to pay the moving helpers, because of the HOLD.. When I brought the truck back, I did use my credit card. GUESS WHAT? The charge for the truck was taken out of my checking account and not my credit card. YES, the receipt denotes my credit card was used, only the charge is not showing up on my credit card. I have used your facility about 5 times without a problem and recommended you facility to many people over the years. I will not recommend your facility again. My banker worked with me for two hours to figure out where the problem occurred and reversing charges. This should not have happened if the counter man would have changed the card I originally used as I requested. I do wonder if my ATM card would have been charged if I had paid cash for the truck. PLEASE QUIT telling customers the HOLD will NOT affect their ATM card and/or credit card, because it is not true all of the time, if at all. The truck was new and very clean. It would have been helpful if the counter man would have shown me the new features on the new van.

Give double copies of contract to customer. There where no personal at drop location and they had a notice on door that if contract not left with keys there would be a $30.00 charge

Truck was driven 600,000 miles already when we rented this truck. When we complainted about trouble we had they said they cant do anything about this. Will never recommend this location or service.

We rented a trailer to transport my Honda Civic and they didn’t tell me we would not be able to open the doors due to the construction of the trailer. We even lowered the sides and it still wasn’t enough. We had to climb out the window and then had no other choice but to leave the window down the whole way up as we couldn’t roll the wondien up then turn the car off! It was completely incovonvinient on a very stressful day! I was wore out and hurt my back climbing out of the tiny window that I’m too big for. I’m sure Uhaul knows that certain cars cannot properly fit on the trailer and I’m not sure why the smaller trailer wasnt suggested. It would have made things a lot easier. My back is still messed up.

Get faster internet service for the redding location. The slow internet made several customers wait twenty minutes just for the cashier to enter our orders. And he had to wait five more minutes before he could take my money. This happened three times in two days. Get charter business internet. Please.

This is a well run, helpful Uhaul location I've had the pleasure of dealing with for three separate contracts in the past six months and will go to again once escrow closes on new home in Redding, CA to get the three (3) 26' Uhaul trucks of home belonging from the three storage units of Yuma, AZ moved items. These guys now what there doing and the equipment there is well maintained.
