Just be aware that you cannot start any self check in until 8 am since the office does not open til then, they have the keys. Otherwise all went well

I forgot to get EZ pass - had trouble paying for tolls in the no cash areas, and now don’t know how to reimburse uhaul for these. Perhaps you can add a method if paying tolls, or offering ez pass device to be added to bill. Thx

I rented a truck for my move and this location has the incorrect phone number on their contract and everywhere else. I tried to reach out earlier to let them know i will be two hours late but instead was prompted to an unknown voicemail. Finally found the number when they left a voicemail during my move when they attempted to call me once. Tried to call to say on my way and nothing. The site also says they close at 8pm but when i showed up 10 minutes to 8pm, no one was there. That Monday I called the voicemail number and they finally picked up and not only they said i have to pay for two days for truck and equipment but they also said they were closed at 7pm. I try to be understand but this is ridiculous because as a customer i am supposed to have the ability to contact them in an emergency etc.

The agent was doing his best, however going between pumping gas and completing the u-haul reservations forced him to be in 2 places at once.



When I first booked my truck, I had asked that it be picked up in Astoria but Uhaul switched the location all the way to Rego Park without advising me. Getting to this location took a lot of time out of my day and when I called the day before I was promised an additional 10 miles fore the inconvenience but the the person at the UHaul pick up location would noit honor this addition.

It was confusing since this wasn't a Uhaul store which I thought it was. The guy had to go look to see if they even had the furniture protector blankets I ordered, they didn't have any matress covers that uhaul stores usually have and the guy helping me didn't communicate to me well what I needed to do.

I ordered a truck and the truck was NOT available. I called customer services for 25 minutes on hold. No one picked up the phone. I was in an urgent need to move my belongings out of my apartment and unfortunately had to settle in with a van. Apparently, UH does not have an integrated reservation system; it allows you to reserve without check its availability. After I returned the rental, the truck is still not in sight. HORRIBLE. Stay away!

I was asked for a credit card when I picked up the vehicle, but was assured my card wouldn't be charged & that it was for identification purposes. The reservation was made with my mothers credit card, & was supposed to be charged to her card not mine. I was concerned when she swiped my card anyway & promised me the charges would be charged too the card on file at time of reservation.

The staff at the pick up went out of their way to fix the several mistakes in the online contract form. It made the pick up time longer than I had expected but it eventually all came out ok.



Hire more people. Workers who pump gas do not have to be literate. Using a computer and knowing how to read and write English are skills needed to check people in at a rental car service.

Upon trying to return the truck we were sent to a "gas station on Cooper avenue" without being given an address or anything at all. When we pressed on, the woman at the initial location became aggressive and rude, and the station attendant didn't speak a word on English. My mother who lives in the neighborhood had to get involved, because it was clear that these people were just trying to get rid of us. The woman, the owner of the auto shop at this location, instead of just saying I'm sorry for the confusion, was trying to come up with excuses as to why they wouldn't accept our return. When my mother asked her not to lecture her and just tell us whether they can accept the truck, she became aggravated and offensive. We ended up having to pull out into the traffic to get into their lot. Very unpleasant and disappointing experience.
