There was only one office associate to handle all the incoming rentals and sales inquiries. The gentleman was stretched way to thin.....but he handled himself and represented the U-Haul name respectfully.

They seemed pretty short staffed, just two people and quite a few customers. I stood inline alone for almost 15-minutes before I was even acknowledged by the staff. One was out helping with equipment and the other was processing a rental. He then took the customer outside walking past me without saying a word. I understand the wait, but it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge me and the wait.

truck was not clean or prepared when I arrived. Had to wait for it to be cleaned out but i was provided at no charge with a mattress cover and pad/s blankets to protect my load which was appreciated. However, I had originally reserved the truck just for 4 hours but I was late to the dump so I returned to the U-Haul location and asked if it was ok to keep the truck overnight. The person I spoke with said was very friendly and told me I was fine and didn't need to return it until the time I picked it up that day (about 12:45). But at 8:30am the next morning, someone called and spoke with my wife rudely asking where is the truck, that it was supposed to have been back by 6pm the previous evening and that he had another reservation for the truck at 9 and needed it back right away. so I quickly got going and went to the dump (fortunately it's not far). When I returned the truck at about 9:15, not only was no one waiting for it, but there were 4 other identical pick up trucks parked out front. Obviously, the specific truck I had was not needed. I don't know why the person even bothered to call. If he was just checking status, he could have called and asked when we would be returning it since he noticed the reservation had the truck coming back yesterday. It was a completely unnecessary and rude call and soured the whole experience.

U-Haul MUST improve its website!!!!!!! Allowing me to reserve a pickup, only to find that the location DID NOT HAVE ONE AVAILABLE, is simply ludicrous. The corporation's failure to make an effective, efficient AND CORRECT website places the local store in an untenable position; unfortunately, this site - due to CONSTANT web reservation problems - is well-versed in trying to assuage customers...

The guy who was there when I dropped off the hand truck was incredible. He was so helpful. He came over and got the hand truck out of my car for me. He also helped me unload the boxes I was donating. I think this is a wonderful service for people. He deserves a "atta boy". I am sorry I didn't get his name.

Waited in line for 90 minutes to pickup trailer reserved online. Returned it same day 30 minutes after closing. Checked-in online per instructions same day. Received receipt Monday for 2 days of rental. Didn't acknowledge return of trailer until close of business the following day. Having to wait 72 hrs after calling to lodge complaint to see if I get a refund. This is crap service. Why bother will all the online stuff if it isn't used by the local shop? Listened to people in line for 90 minutes talk about how many Uhaul centers they had to visit before they could get the trucks they had reserved online (several needed to visit 2 and 3 centers). Severely understaffed office.

The staff worked very hard to make sure that my moving experience was as easy as they could make it. The General Manager was very polite and handled herself very well considering the amount of customers she had to deal with on Saturday.

I would rate the location above average except for the pick-up experience. I realize there are busy times during the day and it is difficult to balance staffing. But, I had to wait for over 30 minutes with 5 customers in front of me and 2 employees to check in and get the rentals. The return went very easy and quick.

I told the guy I ordered it from that I would have the trailer for 8 days and would drop it off at 5pm (Rented on Friday, will drop off the next Saturday). He only gave me 1 extra day and I said I was ok to pay the $20/day for the extra 2 days. On the 6th day, I get a call asking where the trailer was and had to tell them that I will bring it on Saturday. I got a call again on Friday for the exact same thing and then got transferred to the "Scheduling Center" where I told her the same thing. Then Saturday morning the same thing happened. It was highly annoying and unprofessional to receive consistent calls asking where the trailer is when I told the FIRST guy exactly when I would have it returned by. I had to tell 5 different people this same thing. I will not be using U-Haul in the future again as this was a big hassle. Internal Communication needs MAJOR reviewing. Silver-Lining - the guy who we dropped the trailer off with in Renton, WA was very courteous and friendly.

Please provide a step stool for very short people (5'3") to be able to get up into the moving vans. I have arthritis and it was a painful experience trying to get into the drivers seat.

I called ahead and rented a car dolly.. "your main phone center" they messed up had it at another location.. but the guy at his location said no problem. he had on there.. and fixed us right up. Very nice employee.. very helpful .. I would rent again from the 4th street location because of that employee.. he was busy but you didn't feel rushed .. I would say that they need more help up there.. I was there at 9.30 second in line and when I turned around there must have been 10 people in line.. and only 2 of them.. they did a great job..

While this location was and has always been very helpful, I can not say the same about your call center. I originally ordered a 6x12 trailer covered. I was called a few days later and told that now you did not have one. But that you would give me a van instead. I assumed that it would have the same capacity? I was wrong. It had 1/2. I informed the girl at the store that it would not work. She said thats all they have. and it should be about the same. I took it and started too load my items at my storage. Got know where near finished and realized it would not work. Went back too store asked for bigger truck. Got one but it had too be back that night. We were desperate. and said ok. Thinking we would call your center and order something for the morning too bring our gear back to our storage after our event. We asked your call center too find us something again equal to a 6x12 trailer. this is what I use most of the time. I rent from you 6-10 times a year. The guy at the center said he found something and that I could get it in the morning. He would e-mail me the info. I got the info in the morning. It was a 4x7. Not the same as 6x12. Due the math pretty simple 4x7=28, 6x12=72. On top of that it is not 4' wide it is 39". the measurements should be in usable space, not how wide the tires are. It is stupid too advertise this way. Maybe not even legal. So now I am stuck with a trailer that is too small, having too pay twice, drive more than twice and very frustrated with U-haul. Thankfully I had some at my event that had a real truck and was able too take have the load. Please teach your call center too due math. I know what they are thinking, I will never have too deal with this person again so I can give them anything and move on too my next customer with little work. But your poor people are the ones who have too deal with the angry customers.

Your Truck transmission, even though it was an automatic, was very noisy, On the other hand it did not leave me anywhere.
