I made a reservation two weeks before pick up, and the truck was not returned, so I had to come to this location. This review is a sham, since my issue is with the Uhaul system overall and not with a specific location. This happens to us every time we rent a truck. Either the truck is not available, or it's only available at another location in a completely different city. If you need to have a truck at a specific location, DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL.

poor service, dirty car. I was told the fuel tank is full and it was not. He didn't even come out to check for himself. He asked me to go out and take pictures of the fuel gauge. I came in and showed it to him and he disagreed and sent me out again telling me to switch ON the car and and take another picture. He didn't even come out to do a walk around with me. Sure I will rent Uhaul but definitely NOT from this location.

The customer service at this location was awful, i had got in touch with the customer service number of uhaul too. Right from the pickup the guys working there did not seem to be helpful at all and then was neglecting us and made us wait even though our booking time had started. And then he didn’t know the code to the padlock and he told us to figure it out on our own, luckily for us a customer came who told him to check his phone and the code should be in his email, then once we had left thelocation he called my phone up and threatened me to come back or he will call the police, at that point i got in touch with uhaul customer service representative again and she told me everything looks good on her end, then when on our way back from our storage we decided to stop by the shop before we dropped our stuff home to see what was the matter. At that point the person working there goes ahead and calls me and my friend stupid and idiot in shop full of people, asks me to hand over the keys and my license and credit card to him. I gave them all the things he asked for and then he tries to put another transaction on my account, and pull up the notifications on my phone pertaining to the transaction that had already taken place before when we had picked up the truck. At that point he didn’t hand over the keys to us for over 20 mins wasting our time what we had paid for also the humiliation we had to go through. At that point i got in touch with uhaul customer service rep again and told what had happend and she had scheduled an phone call with the supervisor for me the following day which didn’t happen. The next day when we went to drop the truck, we were ignored and our time was wasted then too and there was also a problem of them over charging the mileage which has also been reported with supporting evidence. All in all would never recommend this location to anyone, have used uhaul and their services many times before but this has to be worst experience of my life dealing with a rental.

Owner doesn’t know what he’s doing I did check in online and need to do all over again. Took 20 mins to check in. The car is dirty and smell bad. Poor experience and will not rent again.

This location is also a convenient store and at the time I picked up the truck there was only one person there so it took a while for my rental to be released even though I paid online to make the process faster. The person was very helpful though.

Reroute reserve the 15 foot fan on the 27th and to be 8 o’clock it to be returned at 6 o’clock on the 28th . The day before we received a text stating that we can only have it for the 27th six hours . I called and asked for a supervisor unfortunately I was working in a building with no Wi-Fi reception so I waited on hold for a long time and then got a human and with no power to do anything other than “the time that was given . Asked to speak to the supervisor she actually hung up on me I didn’t swear I wasn’t angry I was just calm coat but I would like to spoke to the supervisor . So then they change the date the change the time to pick up at 5 o’clock on the 27th and returned at 4 AM on the 28th . I definitely thought it was a miss print on the a.m. part so ignored it until we went to pick the truck up . So then we receive the truck and just didn’t return we move to from Vancouver to Vancouver Island unfortunately on a long weekend the fairies were busy . and all that is regardless because we reserved it for a whole day and then return to 6 o’clock that gives us lots of time and we quoted the price I was quoted and versus return it to the island take it back was all planned by the Richmond U-Haul manager . and then the unfortunate thing was is that I went to the Richmond manager to plan everything six weeks in advance and we ended up picking it up I would’ve variety store not three blocks from Richmond of storage and U-Haul rental . To a man that had one truck and a variety store and service customers with cigarettes and what have you over me it took about 40 minutes to receive the truck and the same to return it . So no I would never use U-Haul again or recommend them to a friend and plus we were quoted $40 for the additional day and in a painful rate which I didn’t mind I just wanted to get the heck out of there .

Messy store, not well-mannered staff, poor English, slow process, little to no instructions and just very unprofessional overall. Not to be mean, but it was a very disappointing service. Never going back to be honest. Only thing good was the Uhaul dolly and van, worked well.

Rainbow Market is a sketchy little place with food piled everywhere and the owner speaks English very poorly. The van I rented smelled terrible, as though the last person to use it had transported livestock in it. I specifically chose this location because it offered late drop off, and I confirmed this with the owner when I picked up the vehicle, explaining that it would be after 9pm Sunday before I would be able to drop it off (due to ferry schedules). He called me Sunday morning to find out when I would be returning, as though this conversation never happened.

The van smelled bad but we only needed it for a short while. There was an error by corporate in entering the van into the system so the rental took over 40 minutes to complete but the agent was great and apologetic though it wasn't his fault. I would recommend this location.

The owner is ridiculous, his van is disgusting. It was covered in cola spills, mud and cigarette butts. When it came time to return the vehicle he refused to agknowledge the fact that the fuel was exactly as it was when I picked up the van. He argued and would not let me go without giving him $10 dollars in cash on the side outside of the U-Haul contract. I witnessed the exact same thing happen with someone who had just returned a van on the day I picked mine up. Horrible place with horrible service. Location should be closed down. It is giving U-Haul a bad reputation. Otherwise I love U-Haul, never any problems before this location was visited

General poor attitude in regards to customer service. Truck was not available for my appointment time. Had to wait for van to be returned from the previous renter. Van was not cleaned over before I took possession of it. The customer service rep also reluctantly came out to look at the odometer to calculate mileage. He actually asked me to take pictures of the odometer twice using my own cell phone and then saying that I didn't do it correctly. Then when I asked for a receipt for the additional money that I had to pay due to me not filling the gas tank up enough, I was told that this had nothing to do with U-Haul and that he was doing a personal service to to fill up the gas. What does that even mean? Why would he even say that? I just wanted a damn receipt. Either way I will have to look elsewhere for rentals from now on as the service I received was far below what I have come to expect from a company like U-Haul

Came to this location since my normal location and any other location near me has no vehicle I could use. This was the only place. I've rented Uhaul before and found the service of the people from ok to good to excellent. Generally they knew what they were doing, can answer questions and were polite. This is the first time I found a guy who knew absolutely nothing, and when questioned was very rude. Doesn't even show the vehicle and just ask me to sign. When there were errors, he just pretends that he didn't notice such as the amount of gas in the vehicle. Do not go to this location if you can help it. Worse service ever. He even had the gall to ask for good review after being so rude to me. Not worth it unless you're in a difficult situation like I was since I already booked a move in time with a building so I had no choice.

This is a reasonably good location and easy to park after the very early morning 'newsagent' rush. The owner is accommodating and has vehicles available from 9am or earlier if you pre-arrange with him. This is good for me because i needed to get on the road as early as possible due to business for my clients. Other nearby stores open at 9.45 and 10am which is a complete waste of time for business people - half the day's gone before you even start! The van was almost new and no problems with it at all. Well done. I'll use your service again. thank you.

Store person didn’t speak good English. Very slow paperwork. Check engine light, tire sensor system was faulty, and the gas cap was missing. Our reservation was not added into the system properly. I was told I could pick up the van as early at 7am but when we arrived at 10am we were told it wouldn’t be back until 4pm. Someone changed my request without even asking me if this was acceptable. We then had to drive to another location to get a van.

Van was filthy dirty and smelly. When i mentioned this to the owner, he just laughed and said he didnt care. If this is how U-Haul run their van rentals, i wont be returning but will be telling everyone i know. Serviuce and vehicle quality were both appallingly poor.
