the agent rude and very unprofessional, I show him the gas receipt for $5.00 of gas I put in and he wanted another $5 dollar from me. I ask him how gas it takes to go 6 km. He did not answer me, but it does not take 10 or 5 dollars to go 6 Km.I ask for a receipt for the 5 dollars he said it would in my email and walk away.

The service at this location was absolutely HORRID. It's well worth it to go to a far away location rather come to this one. The man who was working behind the counter was extremely rude, didn't know how to communicate, and clearly didn't know what he was doing. I've rented many uhaul trucks/vans over the years, so I know the process and how it should go. This guy did everything differently, and over charged my card before we even left the location. He was not prepared to check us in at our pick up time, and every single customer that came in after us to buy something, he rudely waved us out of the way to help them instead. Because of this, we were HALF AN HOUR late leaving the location. This caused a huge hassle for the rest of our day as we were behind schedule. The van itself was filthy, and obviously not cleaned in the driver's area between clients. With COVID, that is extremely unacceptable. The inside where we sat should have been sanitized. The back of the van was also filthy and had toenail clippings all over the floor! How does that even happen?! It was disgusting. The check in process was the worst I've ever had to go through, he refused to take my partner's credit card and driver's license, even though HE was the one driving and paying for it, and was also the name I made the reservation under. He wouldn't give it to us unless he had MY license and credit card, for whatever reason. I was worried I wouldn't have enough room on my card for the purchase but he wouldn't take anything else, which makes no sense at all. He asked us to estimate how many km we were travelling so we told him our destination and he put down way more km then it actually was. Again, my card was charged before we even left the building. I've ALWAYS been charged after we drop the vehicle off. When my partner went to return the van, the man told him we needed to fill the gas tank completely. Luckily my partner had a picture of the front dash where it showed how much gas we started with, (just over half a tank), because the man had asked us to take a picture of it before we left to keep track of the mileage. My partner walked out on him in frustration after being shooed aside yet again for another customer that came in after. Then this morning I find another charge on my card from uhaul for 30 more dollars! For gas? I don't think so. I will be contacting the uhaul head office to put in a formal complaint about this location.

This was possibly the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a seemingly reputable company. Having the proprietor of the Rainbow Market represent Uhaul is likely damaging the reputation of the company. I don't even know where to start with how bad the experience was. I hope I never have to go back to the rainbow market.

The location was convenient as far as where I needed a truck However when I arrived the truck was nowhere to be seen. I tried to check in at the counter and they seemed not to be aware of my rental. It is a small corner store and quite buzy and they had a continual line up of customers and I had a hard time getting any info from them. Finally the female clerk called a man who made a phone call and told me the truck would be there in ten minutes. I had to be somewhere within the hour and was about to call u haul to try to find alternate equipment when the truck showed up. the previous renter took out his dolly and it looked like the man from the store checked themileage etc and then he began the process of checking me in. I did not see any cleaning done of the interior of the truck which in these days of covid I would think at least surfaces should have been at least wiped with lysol wipes or something. The store operator took forever to check me in some of which he could have done while I was waiting for the truck but he refused to do anything until the truck arrived. Then when he asked for a credit card I produced the Visa card which I had used to secure the rental. He said no he wanted a credit card and this was not a credit card. I told him it was certainly a credit card but he kept saying it wasn't and kept asking for a credit card. Finally I produced a mastercard which he accepted. The vehicle itself was fine although not properly cleaned. I was happy to be able to get the vehicle on fairly short notice for moving day but i would not recommend this location.

Be honest about pricing. I was tricked into paying for a two-day rental when I asked for 24-hours. The employees at this location were of no help so I am emailing U-Haul for a partial refund (of the extra day)

During COVID times i assumed that sensitizing the cab would common practice but unfortunately that wasn't the case in this location. Picking up the van and not knowing how many people used it before it was cleaned was very unsettling.

Terrible! All of your ads say I can do everything online but when I booked my pick up at a location near my house I received an updated that changed my reservation to distant location at a much earlier time. I drove all the way there only to be promoted that my reservation had expired. Now desperate and out of time I had to drive all the way out to Rainbow Market in Richmond. The place was a dump, the guy couldn't explain anything to me and was super rude. I had to pay $70 instead of the $30 I had been quoted because I was now 20 minutes away from the location I needed to be. When I asked for a receipt at the end he just saying ‘bye!' For me to leave, it was so awkward and I was so exhausted that I just left. I have a herniated disc at the moment so the whole day was painful in many ways. I'm moving next week and considering canceling my U-Haul and switching to a modo Van. You make it sounds so easy to book in your ads but, wow, yesterday was far from it. I haven't experienced this bad of a service in a long time.

Gentleman was difficult to understand. Unit smelled of garbage. Using the uhaul app turned out to be a waste of 40 minutes due to amount of time uhaul took to authorize use. Anyone using app should ‘find' vehicle 15 mins prior to arrival.

The agent was very rude and made us wait for 30 minutes to get the truck. The truck itself had a broken side mirror which we had to fix during the trip with the tape. Otherwise it was dangerous to drive. Very disappointing.

- filling out all of the information online was pointless, once I got to the location they took 15 minutes to slowly type all of our information into their computer - the store location was filthy with piles of garbage everywhere, employees were rude - the truck was dirty inside (obviously hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time) and had pieces of paper garbage in the cup holder and on the floor - the truck's gas was very close to empty at pickup - the check engine light was on at pick up - this was the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul and will be renting from another company next time

The service rep wasn't super friendly, but good enough. The truck wasn't super clean, but it was clean enough. This location got me the truck, the truck was functioning, and it was reasonable quick. Don't expect hotel quality service because this isn't a hotel and that's fine. Used online check-in.

The pick up/drop off location should not be open...period. It is a disgusting place that is poor representation for uhaul. The truck smelled like fish, was dirty and the ‘online check in' did not speed up the process. If I haven't caught COVID 19 yet, I'll have it now after being in that horrendous store. The ladies I spoke with regarding my complaints were lovely and very helpful on both occasions. The First Lady said a complaint could be submitted. The location was very disorganized. I had to wait quiet some time to get the truck and there was now walk around or to tell me about the vehicle. The gas tank was empty and when I asked about the fuel level the store owner told me to find a gas station without clear direction. The truck was dirty and inside was littered with past drivers trash. The truck did its job and I returned it early, but the payment was very unclear. I made a deposit using my debt card and got cash in return. I didn't get a receipt until a few hours later.
