The staff was friendly and attentive. They helped me pick out a new hitch and connected the trailer. I was very satisfied up to that point. Before I left they wanted to test the lights. The breaks lights and turn signals worked, but the driving light did not. The guy thought we might have the wrong wiring plug so he asked his manager. The manager told him it should work with the one we has. We went back out to test them again, still not working. He said "don't worry about it, you don't need them" and i left. Well around 10pm driving through a storm in Missouri we did worry about it. We stopped at a walmart to buy a new wiring harness, still didn't work. Called uhaul, I was on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a human we decided to keep driving. We finally got a hold of someone who stated the could send someone out to look at it. They asked where we were. I said we are 20 minutes from the next town, we can meet them at walmart. She said they cannot dispatch anyone untill we are onsite. I looked up the exact address of walmart, she stood by the "you have to be onsite" deal. We get to the next town and call, they tell us a guy can be there in about a hour. Grrrr we has just killed 20 minutes driving there now we have to wait an hour in the rain in a parking lot. As we were waiting we decided to buy some fuses and start changing them. My car has 2 fuse pannels so this was more fun than it sounds in the rain. The lights started working after we changed a 30amp fuse in the main fuse box. We called Uhaul back to cancel the technician and went on our way. This all could have been avoided if we verified the lights we working before we left.

If customer makes a reservation for a specific location, make sure that the truck is available at that location and not at another location.

I was scheduled to pick up a truck, trailer, and two pods at 8am. My wife called the day before to confirm everything was good to go because we hired movers from MovingHelp.com to come at 9am. When I got to the U-Haul location at 8:20, I was told that they overbooked trucks and that I would have to wait while they got me a van and loaded only ONE pod onto the trailer which means I would have to go back for the other pod while I was being billed by the movers. I didn't get out of the store until 9:17. Meanwhile, my movers arrived right at 9am and started billing me $65 an hour. When I back to my place, the movers found that the pod was dead bolted shut. They had to remove the bolts and then began unloading the pods around 9:55 - basically a whole hour that I paid which was wasted. Again, I had to drive back to the U-Haul location once the first pod was unloaded and wait for the second pod to be ready to tow. All this cost me time and money with both U-Haul (miles and gas) and the movers. I had to essentially pay the movers for an extra two hours of help ($130) because of all the inconvenience I experienced. I would like this rectified.

As far as customer service I have been pleased. Nice staff that greeted you at the door, hooked up the trailer and had me going in no time. However the trailer I got looked extremely different than the usual car hauler. The one I got looked skinnier and steel not the usual aluminum. It actually didn't not fit my tiny import car. I had legitimately 0.25 inches from all 4 tires to the right and left edges of the trailer. Towing this trailer kept yanking the truck around. I've rented 5-6 trailers over the years but never had one this crummy. I can say thanks for convincing me to buy my own car hauler!

Te place was a zoo, which is to be expected on a Friday. HOWEVER, the employees were frazzled, and several I talked to were extremely tired and had worked 12 hours on their shift. I asked if this was normal, and they said that if they refused to work beyond their 8 hour shift, they would be fired. Moral at this location is very low, and I was told poorly managed by the owner. YOU HAVE A PROBLEM HERE...start at the top. People do have lives and families, and should not be forced to work 12 hour shifts continuously.

location is under staffed. They only had 2 people and were very busy and not able to help me load the car on the car hauler. I did figure it out but some guidance would have been appreciated since a major traffic accident could have occurred because of improper loading. Over all staff was friendly, just too busy.

I did my reservations over the phone, I was told if I rented a Cargo Van I would get the first month on my unit for free. I ended up paying both the Cargo Van and Unit because "there was nothing they could do." This was my worst experience with Uhaul, all because the information I was given was incorrect. I would not have rented the Cargo Van if I had known the information I was given would not be honored. I had a vehicle to move my belongings with, I just figured this would be easier, well, never again. I was on the phone with a lady, had to submit a objection, that does not guarantee my money back. So yes I might have gotten screwed in all this.

The truck don't have no brakes and power steering is not good at all the rubber piece for the driver door was broken they still rent the truck out

The first trailer didn't work for trailer wiring. The attendant indicated it was my vehicle that was the problem. I insisted he try another trailer which he did and that one worked just fine.

The check in process was time consuming - especially when everything was paid for in advance. The person checking me in had no idea what I had paid for. He was friendly - so I gave the mark as average - but UHaul can do much better than that.

Staff and management at this location are amazing. Can't say enough good things. Have been twice in two weeks, four or five times over the last few years.
