The guy that worked the day we rented it from JC hardware did not do a check on anything when we got in the uhaul it was on a half a tank the guy gave us a paper stating 3/4 of a tank of gas when it was only a half of a tank I will not ever go to JC hardware ever again

with the exception of the pickup and dropoff locations, the experience was terrible. I viewed the inventory online and it said there was an auto trailer 15 minutes from where i was picking up the car. when i got there, they said there was never one there and they helped me call uhaul to find one. the closest one was 1 hour out of the way for me. so we reserved it on the phone with Uhaul. they said the reservation was set but it went to the regional office instead of the pickup location. they transferred me to the regional office where after talking with them for a few minutes, they hung up on me. i drove the extra hour (one way) to pick up the auto trailer and when i got there, they didn't have my reservation. after giving them my reservation number they found it, but it wasn't set with them. they called uhaul who said that my reservation had been cancelled. we set the reservation up again and i got my trailer. I have had multiple bad exeriences with UHaul and it's basically at the point to where i don't want to use them anymore

Not the clerks fault, she completed our paperwork in a timely manner and then she tried to obtain the key to the truck and come to find out another clerk had rented it a day or so earlier and no one had checked it back in so the gas level and mileage was incorrect in the computer and on our paperwork...she contacted uhaul by phone and everything was supposed to be corrected...we also had no drop off location designated when we left with the truck...received text later that evening regarding drop-off...

Over charged and said I didn't put gas back in. But I did. I went over miles, so of coarse I put gas back in. Drop off in cross lanes wv, and they were rude. Next time I will go somewhere else!

I placed an order for a 15 foot truck on June 5, 2017 at an UHAUL facility 2 miles from my home. The manager stated that I'd be instructed of where to pick one up. I questioned such since I'd given 11 day notice of this location to hold a truck for me. Anyhow, I got the call the day before and told me to pick a truck up in Rock View, WV (an hour away from where I live). I picked it up and they asked how come I didn't order it in my town. I told them the story and they got a laugh. The facility at Rock View were excellent in getting my needs, but I still question why UHAUL doesn't have drivers to ship from one to another location. Then, to top it off, I drove by the first facility that I requested as they had 3 trucks on their lot. I told this to the return station in NC, this story as he would had done it differently so I'd have a truck in his lot, knowing that far in advance. He was also very nice. My problem is the central phone call person and my local place should be trying to get the truck to my location for pick up. It would had given me an extra 2 hours in loading that evening. Also, they did add more mileage since I had the 199 for 2 days plan with an addition mileage just to pick it up. I would had paid more for the mileage. I also question why the safeguard plus was 56.00 on the original confirmation slip, but was charged 85.00 instead at the Rock View facility. They couldn't explain it to me. Overall, people need to know the system better. The only one with knowledge was the Statesville drop off gentleman who told me to inform this to the corporation when the survey arrives. So, this is the story!

They was rude and took all my deposit when I just stopped and got gas. He was very unhelpful made me feel like next time we use a truck rental to use a different company. Other people have said the same. Also had to wait there over an hour due to there computers being down.

Money was charged to my debit card after I was told it wasn't processed. I had to drive a hour to pick up truck twice. Was told I would be funded 70$ for my troubles and have yet been refunded. They put down that it had a full tank of gas. And it did not!

It took an hour for the equipment to be located and paperwork completed. There was no hand truck available and it had been reserved. The ratchet strap was worn on the auto transporter and did not work to hold the tire on the drivers side. It would serve customers best if all equipment was inspected and accounted for before renting them out.

Over all experience was fine---but on our trip our truck broke down & when I called the 1-800 number the guy I talked to at first was very helpful---but when I had to call back several times & go through 1800 number I got a different person every time & had to explain the whole problem over again to that person--after 4 times I just about had enough--- The 1-800 number & all you have go through needs worked on.

Customer Service was a bit lacking. and the young woman who waited on me didn't ask if I needed help unleashing the trailer from my car and expected me to do it myself and park the trailer on their lot. And when i finally asked for help, the man who was sent to help me walked out, right past me, and didn't acknowledge me. I didn't know he was there to help me. After several seconds the woman just pointed at him and said, that's him. She never smiled the whole time. So, not a great customer service experience, but it was quick and without other complications.

The personnel did fine. The truck and trailer apparently was not serviced because the truck broke down and we were delayed overnight and contents had to be loaded into another truck. The tires of the trailer were poor-had blow out on highway and was delayed again!
