I am a FedEx contractor and have rented vehicles from Penske, Ryder, and Enterprise. Our experience with U-HAUL has been by far the best. Everyone on the phone was super helpful. The location we rented from was organized and convenient. I do have some ideas for U-HAUL if you want to get more business from FedEx contractors. Just small things that could make the process even easier for us. Thank you U-HAUL!!!

Stood out in 26 degree temeratures trying to figure out the u-haul app which kept crashing
Ramon DI have used U-Haul ... all my life and have always had a good experience. This, however, was the worst rental experience from any company that I have used – period. First, I was given the wrong direction to the U-haul facility for pick up. Due to this, the first location did not have my reservation and was eventually cancelled due to the time lost at the wrong site. Second, the Self Serve process is NOT good. It takes an extremely long time to finally acquire the rental equipment, with several drops from the mobile application, requiring restarts and finally calling customer service to finally resolve. All in all – a 55 minute duration to simply pick up the truck. Third, there was not any parking available to leave my car. Instead, I had to work out a deal with a local restaurant owner to gain permission to park my car in their lot - that added an hour delay to my timeframe. Fourth, even though the reservation offered a dolly and blankets to rent, available within the truck bay, no such equipment was available - requiring me to go to a separate u-haul location to obtain, resulting in another 75 minute delay. Last, at $39/day - why did I end up paying $255?!?!?! What exactly was the additional $99 dollars for a 4 day rental?!? PS: the 20ft truck requires a new muffler – extremely loud. I only had to drive a total of 11 miles. However, on a longer trip, this would have been deafening / inconvenient. (I did note that when I dropped off the truck).
