I was told that the truck was inspected by an employee before it was released to me. When I got home to load my truck there was garbage and bullet shells left behind. They had me drive the truck back to the store to switch it out, which was very inconvenient for me. Upon dropping this truck off the u-haul employees I dealt with seemed to have an attitude as if it were them who had been inconvenienced. I wasn't offered anything. Not even an apology for a mistake that was on their end. I wouldn't recommend this location.

I reserved a Van 2 weeks in advance at my local U-Haul Center in Elk Grove (master order #29733488 ), which is less than 1 mile from my home. I had only one full day to take care of this move. On Saturday morning 9/16/17, a day where I feared that there was not going to be enough hours in the day to do what I needed to do, my local U-Haul location let me down and did not have a van for me to used! Their reason... the previous family had not returned the van. This branch gave me no other options... I.e. a larger truck as an alternative. Instead, they said they would call me with options. I ended up having to drive an additional 22 miles round trip (which I was charged for) in order to secure a cargo Van . My day started way late because of U-haul and the Van I was issued was not just dirty, it was filthy! Come on guys, you can do better than this. I reserved a van in advance. Gave you my credit card and still got an attitude from the folks at Elk Grove. Their answer...."The people never brought the Van back last night... not our fault." So I guess it was MY fault for choosing U-Haul . I guess it will be Ryder or Enterprise in June when I move my daughter back home from University.

Allison was very kind and helpful, meanwhile all of the other employees around her were grumpy, rude and short with each other/customers (especially the female in charge). I picked up the van with the gas tank on empty. The gauge was below "E"..... Waited for about 20 minutes before an employee was able to help me.

So I rent from the West Sacramento location all the time, but this time they did not have the equipment available to rent. So I saw the El Camino location did. When I arrived there was 1 customer ahead of me. When it was my turn, I got my paperwork pretty quick. But I noticed that the trailer that they game me was missing bolts and just all around bad shape. I feel that this trailer should not even be one that customers can rent. It was in bad shape. Even the employee that I talked to when I brought it back said something about it.

Not canceling our reservation without letting us know is a strong recommendation. If you had asked, there is no way I would have agreed that we would be able to pick up by 10AM. We had to go to this second location to get a truck. After a long, slow line, we were well taken care of.

Hire more people and properly staff this location, and ensure the vehicles are clean. The vehicle I rented came "from Burning Man and the cleaning crew is supposed to clean it but they didn't do a good job". Also, we waited over 15 minutes in the morning to rent it, and 30 minutes to return in the afternoon. The location had one man outside to inspect vehicles, one lady tried to buy propane and waited 20 minutes only to be told no one could help her, and the inside had one staffer to process a very long line of customers. My husband also watched a drug deal go down right next to the front door, and was asked by multiple "customers" to give them rides to various parts of town. Very poor experience, and I will never rent a UHaul again if I can help it, and definitely will never return to the El Camino location.

I stopped at this location early in the morning with to get a uhaul there was a lady there with a very poor attitude already treating customers poorly there was a long line I waited 20 minutes just to get to the front the lady aked me if I had a reservation and before I even finished my sentence she rudley interrupted me and said they don't have anything available at that location and didn't offer to check the surrounding area for the one I needed... why should I have to wait so long if there is nothing available just tell the customers in line that there currently isn't anything available besides reserves vehicles so they don't waste the customers time I got up walked out and she screamed "next in line"... being so frustrated with youre employees poor attitude and poor service I drove to the next location just to find out if they had anything which they did not but the nice gentleman helped me make a reservation for one nearby unlike the rude employee at the previous location so I go to the next location to pick up my vehicle just to find out that there is no uhaul representative available to help me just some guy sitting in the office telling me that the representative isn't going to be in today and there was lockboxes on the wall and I have to have a code to get into it and get a key for my vehicle being so frustrated with the service I had been provided throughout 3 HOURS of running around trying to find a damn uhaul I called the customer service number and got one reserves at the first location I stopped at in the morning I had to reschedule my move for a later time wich threw everything off and angered me very much the least uhaul can do is either reprimand the employee who rudely blew me off in the morning or credit my card back with some of the 91 dollars I paid for an absolutely horrible experience I would definitely not recommend any of the locations I stopped at today to anyone

the rental people were very nice but the u haul Box where the pods were were awful the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing We had put in a require 2 weeks ahead of time and they were still over at Arden way and should of been at El camino I give that side of your operations a big FAILFAIL something needs to be done to make them more organized never use them again and will tell my friends the same.

I did my order on line to go quickly but the truck was not where it should have been. Besides that, service at this particular U-Haul is always excellent. Sometimes understaffed but hard, friendly workers.
