Following the pick-up of the vehicle, I received a text telling me of an alternate return sight. I was unaware that I needed to return the vehicle to that sight in order to receive the discount on mileage. Upon returning the vehicle to the original pick-up site, I received a bill much higher than I had been quoted. Fortunately, the staff member was able to give me the quoted rate after much effort on his behalf. U-Haul’s rate structures are confusing at best, and when they arbitrarily change drop-off sites after other arrangements have been made, it makes the rental a less satisfactory experience.

Customer service was stellar. Truck was super dirty.



Employees need to be well trained. I received a call from Vivica in the traffic department. She was unprofessional and condescending. Screamed at me for not having the truck back the agreed time. Then tells me that I will have to pay a $50 dollar late fee which is not in the contract. I was never made aware of this $50 late fee. The employees who checked me out were outstanding.

Tim the manager was most helpful at the drop off location in Sacramento, CA. I was more than impressed.



Truck in better running condition - Interior / exterior cleaned --- MOST IMPORTANT - BILL correctly per terms of contract and in GOOD FAITH - I have spent over 2 hrs reproducing what our invoice should show according to contract and issue has yet to be resolved. I certainly should not have to do this - and should be billing U-haul to the fact the billing errors were due to their negligence. This was our companies first uhaul truck rental experience. I was so pleased the first day, I contacted the regional sales manager and discussed opening a corporate / commercial account... After this billing issue, and time / effort spent, I think we are likely not going to proceed with the account options presented.

I was supposed to drop off at a different location on El Camino and Howe but the operator refused. Stated he didn't have room even though there was only one truck in his lot. Rude and indifferent to me. You should consider more stringent guidelines for your franchise's



The manager and the gentleman who checked out my rental truck were very professional and helpful but glitches with the computer system made the process take quite a while. When returning the truck, there was an extremely long wait. It was a busy time and they seemed to be short of help. Once the manager was able to take care of me, he apologized and quickly checked me out.

I have rented from this location before and it has always gone smoothly except when U-Haul has transferred my rental to another location at the last minute. I have learned not to rent from U-Haul on the last weekend of the month - you might not get your truck! Or, you might get a smaller one than the truck you thought you reserved. Or, they might move your pickup location to another U-Haul, texting you about it at the very last minute as you are driving to where you thought you were picking up the truck, and then, now that your truck is at a location further away and not so convenient, they have the nerve to charge you the extra mileage!! Not to mention the extra gas you have to use and pay for. This location does a great job as long as it's not the last weekend of the month (and that is a corporate issue for letting people reserve more trucks than are available), not an issue with this location.
