The employees were extremely helpful and courteous! This is place always has wonderful customer service. My issue was with the 'self-check out' feature that the website so insistently had me choose. So, in an effort to save time, I did. Big mistake. On the day of pick up, the system had me take a picture of myself and my drivers license for verification, which I did, and then told me that it did NOT approve my pick up and we're sorry. Excuse me? As I'm sitting here at the truck, stranded with no ride, unable to get my reserved truck because you didn't like the selfie I took? If it wasn't for the attendants at this location being so helpful I would have never been able to get my truck and move my furniture. I rent from this location a few times a year, always reserving vehicles over the internet. Your so-called 'self-check out' feature is an utter waste of time and energy. I'd rather wait in line. Don't push people to try things that do not work. Thats how you lose long time customers.

I had to go back and point out several things that were wrong after being rushed through my inspection initially. I made them change the miles for having to go back, but they charged me for them anyways. Whether they are being dishonest or just plain inefficient I would not recommend to any of my friends being ripped off ever in any situation.

I went to 1650 El Camino and stood in line for forty five minutes only to be told that they didn't have my truck. Luckily, the people at 2830 Broadway had one. They were great- -go there. Never go to 1650 Broadway- -they're buffoons.

Work on making the location more efficient. I was in a time crunch and had to speak with numerous people just to get help. Also only one person outside with the trucks slowed down the whole process.

As far as this location is concerned, I was very pleased with the experience and the customer service. As far as your online reservation system is concerned, it leaves a lot to be desired. I reserved a truck at a location that was closer to me (in order to avoid racking up the mileage) only to discover that location didn't even have rental trucks. That was a lovely waste of my time.

Literally the worst u-haul experience. Was told that we were allowed to drop off one way, I asked many times to confirm and they said yes. Turns out it was not the case and had to drive 300 miles back to Sacramento from Eureka to return a car we would not have rented had they told us that. The whole thing was rushed with very poor service. Now I'm stuck with a bill that I dont believe is I should be charged. The employee was at fault and in turn the manager in charge should habe stepped up and taken responsibility instead of calling a customer a liar and avoid the situation. We were told a manager would be there to speak with us, called multiple times to confirm that and let then know we'd be there at a set date and time. Conveniently not a single manager was on site even though it was discussed and confirmed that they would be.

I have used Broadway Uhaul twice in the last three months and I absolutely love their customer service. I used a different dealer during this time as well because broadway didn't have any available and I prefer the broadway uhaul without question. Anytime I need a uhaul broadway is worth the wait. Their friendly, personaable and a good shop.

I would recommend this location purely on convenience. The check in process was great, rob and matt were super helpful, but walking inside felt like walking into a dark warehouse. Also, it was difficult to figure out where to park our car when we first arrived. Check out was a bit of a mess. I had to sit in the roadway for 10 minutes due to lack of space in the lot and a congested work area. The check out agent was not friendly or understanding.

Seems a bit much to make everything a la carte (meaning literally everything costs extra, even furniture pads). I don't think Budget does this.
