I’m not sure if anyone ever reads these comments then becomes proactive about speaking up about it etc but when I went to go pick up the truck, I went inside after following a bunch of steps I was unaware of just to get inside and show them my name / reservation; when I went outside I had to go through a number of steps again in order to proceed with the process… then once the app told me to double check for blankets & a dolly I did and obviously nobody’s psychic & knew those items needed to be in said truck BUT why didn’t somebody warn me via the app about just doing it all in one full swoop? I chose the “mobile rent” option to avoid interaction with anyone that day & I ended up in that guys store 3 different times about shit I already signed up for / paid for, etc. anyways, the guy was super nice but that was an extra hour just trying to get the truck then when I went to go open the drivers side door, I couldn’t because it was literally an inch away from neighboring truck. I had to go crawl through the passenger Seat & then I was able to get out. Not a big deal to me really I just wish that mobile process was more streamline then extra steps and annoying honestly. I’ll just choose to go to counter next time

The fuel tank was almost completely empty when I picked up the truck (36 miles to Empty), yet the contract was issued stating that the truck had 1/4 tank. No adjustments were made.

Bret CThis location was extremely unsafe. When we walked in, we stated that we were picking up a U-Haul. The clerk began calling someone, and received the person’s voicemail at least 10 times before someone finally answered. When a person did answer, the clerk just handed me the phone. We had no in person interaction with anyone from U-Haul. The location was in a bad part of St. Louis, and the entire 20 minutes we were at the pick up location, we were constantly in fear that something bad would happen. The market we picked up the U-Haul from was dilapidated and very unclean. This was not the location I selected for pick up. I selected a different location back in May, but was told the day before my scheduled pick up that the location had changed. I tried calling U-Haul to move this pick up because I knew it was in a bad part of the City. The person who spoke with me was extremely rude and condescending. It was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. She insulted me repeatedly and lied multiple times while I was on the phone with her. Ultimately, she refused to even attempt to accommodate any requests I made. Based on this entire experience, I will never rent from U-Haul again.
