I rented a pickup truck for 48 hours, which I picked up at 6pm on a Friday, meaning my dropoff was 6pm on Sunday. This location closes at 5pm on Sunday, meaning I had an after-hours dropoff. Despite dropping off the truck on time, I was charged for an extra day. When I called this location about being charged for the extra day, the employee said that any after-hours dropoff would incur a charge for an extra day. This has never happened to me before despite going to this location since 2011, I have never been charged extra for an after-hours dropoff before. At no time did any employee explain that to me, and nothing about that was anywhere in any paperwork I signed. If that was a new policy that had been explained to me upon pickup I would have just rented it an extra day and returned it Monday afternoon, but instead I got charged for a period where I couldn't even use the truck because it was already sitting in the U-Haul lot with the key in the after-hours dropbox. I called this location and the employee said there was nothing he could do and that I should call the corporate office. I've been on hold with corporate for ten minutes, where the hold tone is repeatedly telling me to fill out a review, so here I am. I have never had a problem with this location until today. I just got done filing my complaint with corporate, and am waiting to be contacted by this location's manager within the next 2 business days. The customer service rep at corporate said it wasn't standard practice to be charged an extra day for an after-hours dropoff. Honestly, all I want is a refund for the extra day I got charged, and from now on for them to let customers know that any after-hours dropoff costs extra now. If I had been told this when I picked it up the truck on Friday this literally would not be an issue.

Joshua thelen lied and charged me for cleaning and I don't smoke and I had nothing that contained nails. The truck I had was grayish black doors on the inside like new. He sent me pictures of another truck accusing me of something I didn't do. I want my 25.00 dollars back this man was very rude three or four weeks ago to me a customer arguing with me. And now he's accusing me of something I didn't do. I wanna file a complaint against him. The store is on 838 university ave st Paul mn. I've spoken with someone I'm waiting on a call back I'm very upset this man would charge me for someone else's mistake. I'm the picture that truck had brown doors the one I rented was grayish black panel like new. He's a liar and I want something done.

I just moved into the area, and this location took great care of me! They made me feel like I was a valued customer and a new community member of the Saint Paul area! Ricky was amazing! He was so considerate, helpful, and knowledgeable. He made the whole process smooth and easy. After traveling for such a long time, that was so greatly appreciated! 2 things #1 there was no indication inside the van as to how to adjust the outside mirrors and never found any button that would do that. #2 it took way more than a 1/2 hour for the air conditioning to begin creating cool air. U-HAUL you need to check your AC systems in your trucks for those times when there are seriously HOT days.

I have always rented from this place for the past 4 years but this year when I reserved for my 20' van I was given a van that had a bad battery. How can you have a van with a bad battery when someone has it reserved. I was offered a replacement with a 26' van but was told that I have to return it by 7 am. My reservation was from 2pm to noon the next day. I had no other choice because I will be losing 10 thousand dollars of food investment already invested in this weekend. I took the 26' van, which was now supposed to be mine and return it at 10 am. The person who called me said I will be charged another day because I didn't bring back the van in time. I told him sure. On Sunday when I went back to get my other reservation rental, I was denied a rental from this place. Bryan, a worker there told me that I cost him to lose a customer because I return the van back late, which mean if I didn't take that van I would have lost 10 thousand investment in food for my sports event that weekend. I was put on the blacklist for this area. They don't care about what I will be losing if I didn't get that van that day. Now that this weekend is done I will tell people about that place and how they treated me. Even if you have a reservation you are not guaranteed to get a working vehicle. I am never going back to that place and will tell all my family member about this. He told me they lost one customer and now they just lost a lot more.
