The onboarding took over an hour, when I arrived to the location. The U-Haul "app" that I was told that I had to download to upload my driver's license/photos would not allow me to upload ANYTHING. I tried for nearly 45 minutes and finally a nice older gentleman literally used his phone to complete the process for me. Granted, I don't think this had anything to do with the woman trying to help at the counter, but this whole experience needs some troubleshooting/alternatives for situations like these. I was late to my daughter's district final for cross-country due to this, and I just can't fathom why it would take over an hour (with nobody ahead of me) to complete a simple handoff for a vehicle. I was told there was no way around needing to complete everything through my iPhone/online. Pretty lame.

The text link to check in system is abysmal. I’ve never been more disappointed and inconvenienced by a uhaul check in and drop off in my life. The page wouldn’t load. Timed out. Froze. Stopped working mid way. I was given a 1800 number where they offered to resend the same failure of a link. Uhauls new system is broken and it wouldn’t surprise me to learn you’re trying some AI garbage that wasted an hour of my life. In the end I emailed pictures to a customer service agent. A trash experience. In the future I’ll go with Budget or Home Depot. Incredibly disappointed
ALEX VI’ve rented many uhauls over the years & they’ve always had full gas tanks at pickup. This one was 9/16ths full and I needed to put enough gas in upon return to equal 9/16ths. It’s difficult to gauge the level when putting in gas. That was annoying.
SUSAN HGood customer service. A little overkill on the app regarding pictures of truck return status but at least it works efficiently with no errors. Self checkout was a breeze. Truck was great.
DUTCHIN WDenise was very helpful and delivered great customer service. We did, however, encounter a problem when the truck we rented was not returned, which is beyond the location's control. After about an hour delay, we were lucky enough to snag a truck that was returned early, and Denise did her best to expedite the check-out/check-in process and transfer the reservation. We appreciate her effort!
