The call center needs to listen better and repeat your name and email. They had my name and email misspelled by one letter, so although I made reservations a few days ahead I never actually received a confirmation. Called the store I thought I was picking up from and confirmed myself the day of.

The truck is was given was in terrible condition. I drove from near Portland, OR to San Angelo, TX. The overdrive did not work. The transmission is not working right. After a stop light the truck would often stay in First gear. The only way I could get it to shift up was to put in in neutral then back into drive while moving. The low beam headlights shined right down on the road, cross eyed and were useless. The seat belt often locked me in so tight I could not even move my butt around to get more comfortable. The truck used oil. If we had not checked the oil half way here the truck would have burned up...we put in 2 quarts. The U-Joints clanks bad and will probably break soon. The drivers door....leaked air and made a constant loud hissing noise. The drivers window would not close all the way and whistled for 2000 miles...along with the door. The phone charger did not work. I drove Most of 2000 miles without music or communication. The front and rear brakes Squeeked badly and are in bad shape! I should really get at least a 50% refund from my truck rental fee. If I do not I will never rent from U-Haul again and warn all my friends to Not Trust your equipment to be safe!!! What a shame! To ruin your own company with sloppy Maintainece..or in the case of the truck I drove...No Maintainece for many Thousands of miles!!! Phillip Dowsett, eagleinthepines@gmail.com 541-948-9479

First off staff was great and very helpful. The vehicle though seemed like it was ready to break down at any point. Had a flashing change oil light on, a squeaking belt and a chain sound from under the hood. Ran ok but didn't seem in the greatest of repair.

First thing; there was no parking because of other people leaving there vehicles because of renting equipment. Only one person there at location to rent equipment on a Saturday morning/ I was the third person in line and it took over thirty minutes to rent the trailer. And three people behind me waiting. Seems to me either poor management or get more people hired to take care of the customer.

Website says they hold the truck for one hour after your reservation time. I was 30 minutes late do to weather. Clerk was like I was fixing to cancel your reservation because the truck I had rented was in high demand. Get past that step he told me to sign the paper that the truck was clean for pickup. When I told him I hadn't seen the truck yet his remark was I assure its clean. I asked about the $4. Mattress covers. Sent me on a wild goose chase. Tried to get me to buy the $12 ones. The cheaper ones were with in a arms length from him.And if we return truck after hours its easy peasy.So to my surprise open the back of truck to find food, trash and pieces of wood. Also the girl who brought the truck to us didn't even do the walk around. There was a dent the size of a fist in the back of truck that wasn't tagged. Pointed it out to her. She hands us seversl little "x" stickers and walks off. Then we had to waited 20 minutes for she was trying to hook a truck to a trailer. My son went to see what the hold up was. She finally just moved the pickup so we could leave.And to check it in after hours was a total nightmare.Tried to contact the number on return no answer. It just kept saying verify code . So after 8 codes dropped keys and hoped for the best. Ended up calling the # for Uhaul. They were very helpful said they could see where I tried to return the truck. So she checked the truck in for me. After I was on hold for 20 minutes. Never did hear from where I dropped the truck off. Even though I left a message. Needless to say. Uhaul has really gone down hill over the years. For over $410 I spent. You would think they would train their employees better. Next time think I will go with a different company. I mean I have used UHaul everytime I've moved and this is the worst. Always have been able to find something to praise them for. Not this time. Oh and I over filled the truck. Do you think they gave me $ back off that. Nope. But guarantee if it would have been short I would have been charged

What should have been an easy experience, turned out to be a nightmare! After renting and ordering a vehicle for my son, stranded in San Angelo, due to a wreck (not his fault) from out of State 4 days prior to needing it and being given a registration number from U-Haul, you can imagine my surprise when my son arrived to pick the vehicle up on the designated day, it took nearly two hours to get him on the road. I assume that because I was out of state (NC), and stated as such when I ordered on Tues. that was the issue. While driving myself in NC, it turned into a nightmare. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed in the service as I was with U-Haul. The issue appeared to be a security issue on your end with my credit card. I ended up having to pull over on the side of the highway to resolve the issue. Again, after nearly two hours and numerous calls, I ended up having to get your store supervisor call your corporate headquarters to get this resolved. I have rented several times from U-Haul over the years, and never had any problem until my most recent rental. No one except the poor lady on the phone, cared, instead ASKING MY SON FOR PAYMENT. HAD HE BEEN ABLE TO DO SO HE WOULD HAVE MADE PAYMENT. Again he was caught in circumstances he did not create (the wreck), nor did he have enough cash or even a credit card with him to cover the rental. IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO rent a vehicle out of state in an emergency. Next time, I will think twice before contacting U-Haul. Thank you
