UHaul did every good at locating me a truck in town so I did not have to go out of town to pick up a truck.

The over all experience with UHaul was aweful. Starting with the call center. I made the reservations on line from the Dallas area to move the belongings of a dehabilitaed parent. So the additional stress with the call stating they moved my reservation to a subcontrator and that initially they were changing the reservation to Brady Texas which would cause a massive disruption in our move. Then they stated the field manager was driving to get the truck. I was given the number to Carlos who owned the private shop the truck was to be taken to. I called and he was rude and disrespectful told me he didn't have equipment and he worked 1st come 1st serve. I told him what had been stated by the call center and he told me he didn't know what I was talking about to call them back to fix it. At this point I had spent almost 2 hours of my time i needed to prepare leaving town on the phone with what should have been fixed with my on line reservation made in advance. We then started trying to call the sub contractor Saturday morning at 740am with no answer or voicemail so we went to the main store on koneig where my original reservation was submitted. He did make 5 calls that went unanswered so he asked us to follow him to the place the other truck was. He requested the reservation be moved to his store and it was obviouse that the call center was not being cooperative and delaying his request. We used our own gas and followed him to a location we could not even pull up on our sync GPS in our own car. This was in a very unsafe neighborhood with the truck was up against a fence in mud and high grass under a tree and no one ever came out. The employee from the main store went into the garage and brought the keys out. My husband drove the truck the Koenig employee drove his car and I drove my car back to the main uhaul facility. He gave us the other 15ft truck on the lot as he stated he felt this truck had not been serviced or checked for maintenance or cleaned. He gave us the other truck and marked it with 1/4 tank of gas. We got 3 blocks down the street and the gas light came on and once my husband stopped at the gas station we had to put 52.53 gallons of gas in the truck it showed 3 miles to empty when he stopped. So this truck didn't have 1/2 tank it had less than 1/8th tank. This cost us effectively more price wise in gas than should have been documented. The only positive aspect of this event was the team in grapevine who got us our store room and took care of us professionally as this location always has. The overall expiemce was severly flawed by the lack of professional response and the subcontractor who caused undue stress on myself and my husband and the additional money spent on gas due to the incorrect documentation. I will be seriously considering another company to rent from in 7 days when my mother is moved into an assisted living from the nursing home. We will also be moving our goods to another storage fac

Staff was very courteous and friendly, as always. The store was clean and well-maintained... again, as always. The car dolly I rented was also very well-maintained and everything operated flawlessly - which, U-Haul has had a reputation for equipment issues in the past - with other stores I've rented from. San Angelo U-Haul has never let me down!

Quinton and crew did a wonderful job supporting our move. Always helpful and quick to lend a hand getting boxes to the car. Had the trailer I requested and did a thorough job getting us on the road. The trailer tracked beautifully all the way to Florida. The drop off was quick and easy after we unpacked the trailer. Excellent experience!

The gal who greeted me at the San Angelo drop off was terrific. Very knowledgable and very business like. She was extremely helpful in helping spotting me when I needed to disembark my auto from the transporter. I am grateful for that since I wear a prosthetic on my leg.

Have more than one person at the counter. 8 people were in line trying to pick up or reserve trailers. The one person at the counter did as good a job as she could considering she was alone.

About 2 weeks after returning the 6x9 trailer I rented for one day, a lady from Abilene office called me and asked why I haven't turned the trailer back in yet. The trailer was returned to the San Angelo store the very next day after I picked it up in Bridgeport. This was very disturbing to me that I may be charged for a missing trailer. I never heard back from uhaul.

I had no hook up for lights on my truck. I asked the lady if I needed them when reserving and she said not necessary. I went to pick up my $18 trailer days later and had to get a van that ended up costing $157 because I had no light hookup. If I would have known I would have set up my lights. I had no time and had to settle for $157 instead of $18. That hurt! Overall the people were helpful and friendly.

Get a device to hold the 6x12 enclosed trailers to stand up or drop, like a crank thing you see in boat trailers. That's a pain to do when you drop it and can't get it back up.. That's a great idea I'm giving you. Customers need that.

Son and i entered store... all parking areas in front of building were filled. Spanish guy behind counter said very rudely "before i can help you need to park in front", as i walked out asked my son if he was going with me, he nodded no. I went outside moved my truck to empty space. When I reentered store I asked if that was okay, because I was not within two lines. A white employee in pull over faded shirt said " that is what they are for" when i asked what he meant he just shook his head and a rude smile. I asked him if he was the manager, he said no he was some guy with a masters degree that was finishing school. I asked him his name and he would not give it to me but left the desk area mumbling something. I asked the guy behind the desk (Carlos, I think) who he was and what was going on, he said he was a part time employee, named John and he was right I should have parked in front to start with. During the check in process he was very short with answers and when he told me to run my credit card the second time, I asked him why and he simply said "if you want the car dolly, swipe your card"... I also asked him if he was a supervisor and he said "no, I just take care of myself". When the contract was done he told me to pull down to the end of the lot. I asked him if he was going to help me hook up the trailer, he said yes and walked into the backroom. I pulled my truck down to the lot and there was the John guy with some kind of dolly. He started hooking up the trailer and telling me his life story about his degree and he was going to be an assistant principal. I had to tighten the hitch and whn I asked him about the lights he said I guess they work. One thing I want to note was that when I physically left the office, the desk guy (Carlos?) said "Asshole wanted me to go with him" (this was said to my son who stayed behind in the office, and the John guy said "old stupid mother fucker, lets give him the junk ". My son was still standing in the storeroom and he could have been any other customer. My son came and told me about the time the trailer was connected. I went back to the store to tell the full time guy Carlos, but he wasn't anywhere to be found. I did not waste my time with the John guy. My son was an unknown witness to this entire thing. We have used this lot before and had excellent service from a lady there, but this was horrible. I have been hesitant to submit this because Uhaul has a reputation of not handling matters such as this with their employees. Maybe these guys were having a bad day, but neither need to be working in customer service at a public place as such. I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran and I do not deserve treatment as this.

First we were sent to a dinky tire place where the owner never showed up. Then I called U-Haul and was able to get a truck at their main location in San Angelo off of Bryant Street. I had rented 4 doz. blankets. The computers were slow, and when we went out to the truck to see it, the individual was trying to fold the 40 blankets that were dirty and on the dirty warehouse floor. A walk around was never offered, so my husband and I had to do it ourselves. Oh, by the way, we were never asked for our drivers license. As we did a walk around my husband noticed about 50 nails right in front of the back tire. He pointed this out to the gal who was helping us and her response to us was "it's been like that for a couple of days, we just haven't had time to clean it up." Now mind you, we moved from Colorado to Mass, then from Mass to TX (San Angelo) and never had a bad experience. But, the San Angelo (Bryant location) was the worst in our moving experience. If you need to rent in San Angelo, don't use these bozo's.

I was disappointed that my truck was 45 mins late, but Quinton the customer service person was great. Very helpful and handled the pressure of rude customers very well. He deserves an A+!
