the first u haul location i was sent to 223 valley hi, the guy charlie was rude to me and had me go to the location on hwy 90, i go there and they tell me no i have to go back, when i do get back to that location the gut charlie tells me, well the truck not here then you wont get one, he was rude and needs to be instructed on how to deal with customer service, i did call and found on on military drive, i hope my next truck i rent, they won't send me to valley hi

A front tire completely came apart. I don't know if U Haul uses recap tires but it is a good question to ask. The truck was fully loaded. The experienced driver was able to control it and bring it to a safe stop. This incident put our caravan of 15 U Haul trucks about 1 1/2 Hrs. behind schedule. I guess will have to inspect the tires myself next time.

I showed up to pick up my vehicle at my scheduled time 8:00AM. I tried using self pickup because the location wasn't open yet. I got a message saying no vehicle was assigned to me so I had to call Joseph Gaitan. I called 4 times and got no answer. I was already 20 minutes late to my business appointment. I called UHAUL Customer Service and she put me on hold for a long while and couldn't help me. The Uhual attendant finally arrives to the store and gives me the key. I am already 45 minutes late. I get in the car and when I open the door at my clients location there is a spoiled rotten plate with a taco in the back of the van. Was this not checked? Sitting in the heat it could caused a food born illness in the vehicle. I had planned on doing a lot of business in the future with Uhaul - this was not a good first impression.

Acknowledge your customer! I sat in the office while my husband pulled the trailer around. When it was brought around, there was an attendant in the office with me. I had to ask him after 5 minutes if we had anything further to do. He did not know so he had to contact his manager. There was little to no communication and I felt invisible.

I messed up on my reservation time. The guy was able to help choose another option and was ready within minutes.



Here's what happened. We rented a truck to go to Rockport....a town totally decimated by Hurricane Harvey, to recover what we could from our destroyed family home. Due to the "run" and panic about gasoline shortage in Texas due to Harvey, we were unable to get enough gas to securely make it 2 and a half hours away and back. We took the truck at 6pm that night....tried like crazy to find gas that night and next morning and couldn't. We returned the truck, unused, just after they opened and were charged the daily rental fee plus fuel. We couldn't have filled it. We got it between a half and a quarter tank. We told the owner what our situation was and he just charged us anyway. Way to show compassion. He should have waived the fees. Sorry, but that's just cold and shows total lack of empathy. We were going to try to save what was left. Wasted money so his truck could sit in our yard overnight. Very disheartening. I would have said "no charge".

I was flat out told if I didn't leave a second contact number I WOULD NOT be rented a truck. Then was told again if I DIDN'T produce a FULL COVERAGE insurance, I would not be rented a commercial truck. I had to give the name of my insurance, their contact number, policy number and show the actual insurnace card. I laughed and told Jacob that I not only had full coverage on a 2009 Charger, but I also have full coverage on a 2016 Camaro with Allstate. What is going on this is not the first time I rent from U-haul & I NEVER left a second contact number nor dod I have 2 leave my insurance information. Or be threatened NOT to be rented a truck. But I know that this experience has left me not wanting to return, so it will be the last time for me, thanks to this horrible treatment received by Jacob at the SW Militarily Dr Store.

Overall this wasn't that great of an experience. We drove of before realizing they didn't supply us with our furniture cart that we reserved. This cost us a lot of time and added mileage to our trip, therefore increased the cost. It also took a long time to check out, and a long time to get the furniture cart once returning to the store.

Excellent place to rent a rental truck! Went to pick up the truck, got it we'll when I got to the storage we find out the appliances dolly isn't? in the truck! Panic kicks in, what to do? I call the store and spoke to Alex at South Park location. He said no problem we will not charge or you can come get the dolly? What are you serious? It's ok you can just use the small one on the truck if it would help and still no charge for the dolly. Well that made my day! Got my move out in three hours instead of the whole day! Thanks Joseph, Thanks Alex for suggesting we use the smaller dolly. We would have a wasted so much Time! Great job pleasing!
