Store was busy. My pick up time waas 2:30pm. Was not out of the store until 4:21pm.. They also had someone doing my check out by herself and she stated "it's my first time doing this"... The manager was busy helping someone so anytime she needed help she would wait until he was available... It was a mess and took up too much time. Was suppose to have the truck for 24hours, I ended up having to return it at noon the next day..been to other Uhaul places and this one was a bit unorganized/short staffed.

Honestly, the facility is excellent. You have one employee - LETTY - who is fantastic. She has a wonderful and is customer service oriented. The problem is another employee - Martin Roades Jr. I've been using that U-Haul location for over 5 yrs. And, I wanted to continue using it. But Mr Roades has made that difficult. I don't own a car - my decision, but I use U-Haul for various needs. Recently I made a reservation for 12 Oct I was moving materials for an office project. I had rented a cargo van in the previous 3 wks. This would have been the last - for this specific project. I went in on the morning of the 12th. Mr Roades requested my personal phone#. He called my phone which is no problem. He asked for a second phone which would have been for my wife who was at work. I hesitated. To give the phone# was not a problem but to call my wife just to verify that I was ...real? No. Moreover, even I don't call my wife because of the nature of her work. I said I didn't want him to call my wife. He said he had to and handed my drivers license back to me. This is about attitude. He knew that I WAS a good and frequent customer, always bringing the vehicle back in good condition, always paying. Yet in his face was such obstinacy. Like a barely hidden anger. I said nothing, but left bewildered. This thought flashed through my mind: Did he win? Did I need the vehicle? No. My team manager had already offered his pickup truck which would have easily sufficed - and did. Did Mr Roades stop me from doing what I needed to do? No. I reverted to the public bus and used my wife's car. Is that the only U-Haul location in San Antonio? No. It's not even the closest to my home. But LETTY is hard working and a fantastic individual. So what did Mr Roades accomplish by denying a loyal customer service? I don't know. But I do know U-Haul has lost my confidence ...and business. I want to move some furniture next week but now I can't use that rental location. My wife and I will be moving in July into our new home. But I can't use that U-Haul location. I've used that U-Haul office to help my church move to their new location and numerous projects and personal moves over the past 10+ years. Normally I wouldn't have bothered with this, I simply vote with my feet - I keep my money in my pocket - except for one person there - LETTY. If you award her a franchise, I will immediately use that location. In fact I am remiss in that I haven't sent a note to you sooner about the wonderful employee LETTY is. Over the years she has consistently impressed me with her system knowledge, work ethic and dedication to providing clean quality vehicles to those like me. She is so special I even introduced my wife to her. In summary, this concern is about two issues: 1. Mr Roades' attitude. I hope he won...? Because from my side, he lost. By not being considerate of my wife, he lost the confidence and business of a loyal customer. 2. Did your rule

Everyone needs to be on the same page in this company. 1st my truck order gets cancelled. Then my pickup place doesn't have one for me. So i have to go to another pickup location much farther away. And i have to pay for the extra miles that i was told would be free to me. Bad for business.

It would be wise and safe to go over the truck's cab's driving levers (Ie lights, etc) so that when one takes the truck off the premises one is familiar how the truck works.

This was great , it could not be improved , the order process was quick and easy , the truck I rented performed perfectly. And the return was super quick and every step of the way the uhaul staff was knowledgeable and courteous. This was my first renal and I will definitely be back when I need a pickup.

My brother was there a few minutes before the time to turn in the truck. However, because the customer in front was having trouble with the trailer he was renting, our truck was not turned in on time in your system. My card was charged twice!

The only thingh I did'n like is they charge extra for gas ,when i returned the truck with the same amount , it was $ 6 dollars more ,and I told them over the phone that I have a pic of the cluster panel and I was asked to email it and I said I was going to go there and showed but In make me feel they didn't trust me.I guess they need those extra charges to gain more comission.

martin the genera manager waited on us we ordered and thought we were getting a pick up truck which was available and not what we received he was extremely rude to us and jacked up the price a lot. a 19.95 dollaar truck cost us 100 dollars. i would tell friends and other people to have nothing to do with U Haul and especially at this location. we were treated very unfair and i did not appreciate how rude he was
