I would like to complain. After picked up the trailer, I realized I was not going to be able return it according to the agreed contract. My wife then called the office in city heights who then referred us to a 1-800 number. The contact at the 1-800 number was unable to change my contract for us to be able to drop the trailer off at a different location. We were told that if i dropped off the trailer a day late that it would then cost me an added $20 per day. Upon drop off the cost was more then that $20. The total came out to about $80, when we were expecting around $60. I was unhappy that I was not able to adjust my contract/drop off location with our unexpected change in moving plans and also that I was not told the pricing correctly for dropping off the trailer a day late.

I think you guys have a lack of parking lots for the customers. And it’s very helpful for customers to get spot to park their cars while they rent a U-haul .

Staff member that attended me picking up the truck was polite, professional and all around good guy. It was once that I had the truck that I reserved that problems began. First off, the truck was already dirty and you can tell it was over used. Fine, it happens, then my wife who came with me to drop me off, when she pulled out, some drunk, drugged or all of the above guy was hanging outside this location and began to yell and holler at my wife. She just left and ignored the guy, then as I was leaving with the truck the same guy came up to me yelling at me saying I need to be careful, to not reck the truck, to watch it (not in a nice way, it was like he was warning/threatining me), what ever. Then I came back to return the truck, a guy not in uniform comes checks the truck, I had refilled the gas that I used, and kept the truck clean, I went over a little my estimated miles and he charged me $5.17 over the amount that was on hold. So on hold was 92.40, he charged me on my card 97.57 and was reflected the very next day on my account. On June 6th, 2018 I see a charge of $5.17. When I tried calling the store about it, they said there is nothing they can do about, they were very dismissive and told me to call Uhaul Customer Service. So I did, waited on the phone for 26 minutes, finally someone answers, I explained the issue and she was condescending, trying to make it sound like I didn't know how to do my math and was saying that I was being charged 92.40 and in a separate charge 5.17, which was not the case, on my bank account I see 97.57 and I see 5.17. She then put me on a 10 minute hold and then told me that I needed to call my bank and deal with it with them. So over alll my experience with Uhaul at its entirety sucked and probably won't be coming back to any store.

Rent the trucks with gas tanks full, and the customer can return them full. That way we aren’t paying extra for gas we don’t use.

The best part of my experience was the phone call to make the reservation; however, upon arriving to the location, the individuals at the location seemed to be transactional. Upon the return of my equipment, it appeared that the individual was using his personal device with customer information for the "Uhaul POS system." This was unnerving... Do the employees have access to this information outside of work? credit card information? This was just a poor experience all the way around.
