I reserved a 10' truck with furniture dolly and half dozen blankets/pads. First, I had to reserve it online, then I had to check in online the night before. Not sure why there's a two-step process just to reserve it. Then I go to pick up the truck and try using the online check-in. It has me re-enter a lot of what I already entered the night before and then takes me through and addition myriad of steps and pictures to take. Even after that it tells me I have to go and check in with the person inside anyway. On top of that, they tell me that they don't even have any dollies or blankets/pads! So then I had to go to Home Depot to rent a furniture dolly and use old blankets from my home just to get this move done. Then when I dropped it off, it takes you through another dozen steps in the app and prompts you to take a ton of pictures. It's just a huge pain in the ass to rent a U-Haul through the app and I didn't even get what I paid for and reserved.

Chewy was great and I will continue to use that location my my uhauls in the future
Whitney PThe place I went to took over an hour to give me the truck. So by the time I got to my storage unit to get my belongings the storage into had closed for the night so it was a waste of money and time They also didn't have the dolly or the blankets I paid for and didn't seem to refund me for the missing items. I am very angry with the service, with Uhauls undersite of their franchises or whatever these sites that are not located in a Uhaul lot, and the overall crap I had to deal with due to timing

FRANCISCO CLocation was in a very rough part of the city. I had booked a vehicle several miles away and U-Haul changed it to this location right before. It took ~45 to actually rent the truck because the lady working the counter was primarily focused on running the convenience store, which was very busy, and would only attend to me for a few seconds every 10-15 minutes. When I asked after 15 minutes of this if she could help me complete the rental, she clarified that she was only allowed to take care of U-Haul customers if there were no other customers in the store, which is a ridiculous way to run a business. When I got to the truck is was unlocked and it seemed as though some of the local homeless folks had been staying in it. The fuel lines also turned out to be cut and the vehicle had no gas, but I didn't know that until after I had driven it to a local gas station and started to add fuel, which ran right onto the ground. One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had by any business.
