Loved the customer service Rep that attended us she was very polite, cuarteos, explained everything to us in a quick and simple way for us to understand the concepts of the contract and returning the rental she was quick precise and explained all fees and information both visits were managed quick and efficiently and took about 5 mins of our time.

Their lack of staff to assist customers was my initial point of dissatisfaction. Despite making an appointment and filling out my information ahead of time, it was approximately 30 minutes before speaking to anyone. There were employees that would come from a back office, look at the line and then walk away without any concern for their customers. Setting up the trailer that I rented was assisted by the same guy who checked me in. It’s not his fault he didn’t have the support he needed to do his job well. He made sure the chain retainers I had were safe and assisted me with a light check. I only needed my trailer for a few hours to complete a local tow. The minute I put weight on the trailer a flat tire was evident. Renting equipment that had not been properly cared for. It could be argued that I picked up the nail in transit. I doubt that based on my experience. Because I couldn’t prove it one way or another I didn’t bother mentioning it. I called the company to get assistance for the trailer that was stuck in the middle of the street. I was on hold for about 40 min before I hung up. While on hold I was able to submit a request for assistance online. By the time I received a call, I had gone and gotten a plug to repair the tire myself. Luckily I found someone nearby with an air compressor. The gentleman who called from Arizona gave me his direct line in case we had another blowout. As it turns out we didn’t need it. I had to return the rental trailer the following morning because of the delay with the flat tire. Returning a trailer to a lot where there is limited access during the busy morning commute was challenging. I arrived at the lot to return the trailer and no one helped me unhook the trailer, nor did they bother to come out of their offices. Allied car rental in Santa Ana, I will never be a patron of yours again. I have rented a lot of things over the years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Moving day is stressful enough as it is. They only made the whole process more exhausting. Never, never again. A yelp review is soon to follow to avoid this location like the plague.

I need a general manager of U-Haul to call me back because I got accused at this location (when I returned the truck) that it smelled like marijuana and I was charged a cleaning fee. I went to get tested because I will take legal actions for deformation of character.

The host was really odd, she said she could manipulate my return time if I was within 1 hour of the return time, however I was 1 hour 15 minutes outside the return time. Then she said she can't manipulate the return time for insurance purposes. First of all, NO ONE was asking about manipulating the return time. Why would she even bring that up? Secondly, does it matter if it's within an hour or not - they should probably never manipulate the return time? Thirdly, she never addressed what I did bring up, which was that I was told I could return the vehicle anytime the facility was open, I was misinformed by uHaul staff and I would like to not be charged for an extra day. Especially since I was so close to whatever return time they had down. In addition, the office is a disgusting mess.

Unfortunately I was referred to this Uhaul from the Tustin Uhaul since this location had a 24hr truck available while the Tustin Uhaul location did not. Didn't think to check reviews since I''d always had acceptable/normal Uhaul experiences. This place scammed me for $30 and it's apparently something they regularly do. They had the gas gauge marked a notch higher on the form as I was getting ready to leave and when I addressed the inaccurate level reading the kind lady said I could leave and that she would go in and correct it for me. I didn't question it thinking there was no way she'd be dishonest about it. I dropped the truck that night at the end of my move and had to stop at two gas stations to make sure my levels were well above where we agreed. Sure enough the bill came through with a gas refill charge on it. I called their office three times over two days while they gave me every excuse in the book about the system being slow, the lady not being there, leaving me on hold for 20 minutes, hanging up... Finally a different guy gets on the phone after a very long hold and claims over and over again that they reviews the contract and "everything looks correct". Do you really think I'd spend all this time on the phone if everything was correct over this amount of money? Finally he says, "Well you should have made sure she adjusted it". Great. My bad for believing she was going to continue to be normal and providing good customer service. Well all I can say is that I've used Uhaul to move 16 times in the last 23 years and will never do so again unless someone contacts me and corrects this matter. And I will use every opportunity I can to share this story and recommend that people not use Uhaul for truck rentals. reading some of the other reviews I suppose I will try to focus on being thankful that I didn't get scammed worse than I did.

The worst customer service, we were overcharged and then the guy tried to over charge us again for the gas because he didn’t read it right. The truck we rented barely worked and felt like it was about to stall and die the whole time.

The cargo van was not clean when it was delivered to me so I had to wait for a gentleman to sweep it out. It also smelled as if a chain smoker JUST used the van because it smelled THE WORST like cigarette smoke!!!! There, unfortunately, was not another van available and I NEEDED to move some things so I had to suck it up and deal with it for a few hours despite my allergies, but I hope to NEVER have to deal with that problem again. The staff was VERY nice and the place itself was clean.

When I pulled in parking lot I realized it was small parking so I asked the lot guy if I could leave my truck there for a hour while I used there rental truck to deliver cabinets 2.7 miles away, a very nice kind lady did my paperwork got me all set to go, took me out to walk the condition of the truck as I parked my personal truck in the rental trucks parking spot and heading to the rental some other genius walked up and said I couldn’t leave my personal truck in there lot, I said come on please I’m only going to be here for a hour he said no way move it off property, I can’t lock the truck so I said no I guess just give me a refund and I’ll go somewhere else, so we go into office to cancel and refund me my money, turns out he couldn’t replace the pending transaction so I said I’m not leaving without my money or the rental truck he has the rental truck keys at this point he was demanding I leave without my money and no truck so I threatened to call the police if he didn’t give me my rental truck keys which I had been changed for and he said if I leave my truck in there lot he would have it towed at my expense! Nice world class customer service ! I payed 82 bucks for this asshole to threaten to tow my personal truck ! Thanks U-asshole

The return was awful. The young man handed me a broom to sweep out some flowers the had fallen off a plant I had carried in the van. I am 76 tomorrow. He was very rude and said if I didn't do it I would be charged additional $25. Took a very long time closing the account as he went over every penny. I had a flight to catch and was getting very anxious about getting there on time. I'll never use this location again. Last year used a nice one in Costa Mesa, going back there next year. I've never been treated so rudely by anyone.

First off my reservation got moved to a different location from the one I had picked. It was not clear that this happened, so I had to make 2 stops and pay for 2 Lyft rides. The rental place I went to had no one working the front desk I had to wait for 5 min after shouting "Hello" several times. The staff was not very friendly. Upon returning my van it took entirely too long to process, and the attendant was not friendly or helpful.

They did not give full disclosure of the rules. I got the truck back one hour late and they charged me for a full extra day. They wanted to charge me for 3.875 gallons of gasoline, even though I had driven only 7 miles!?!? Can they even do math? According to their logic, I'm supposed to believe the brand new van only gets 1.81 miles per gallon!?!? Whenever I've used U-Haul before and there were minor issues, they have been flexible and they have been willing to work with me. The have been able to take off unreasonable charges and help me out. These people were very unreasonable and inflexible. Don't they understand they are representing U-Haul? I was only told "after the fact that the "grace period" was only 45 minutes. This is an outrage! I rented the vehicle and my plans changed when I had driven it barely 3-1/2 miles. I had to go to work that night, so the van was parked. The following day I had errands to run, and by the time I drove the van back to the rental office I had had it a mere 25 hours. The van sat parked, unused, the whole time. Would it kill them to cut me some slack? I will be sure to recommend AGAINST this location.

No one was at the desk when we came at the time of our appointment and no one was there when I came back to return the vehicle. We wasted a total of 20 minutes just waiting for them.
