I have no issues with the workers at UHaul nor the rentals they provide. In getting the truck in San Rafael I was told to fill the truck to its previous amount or be charged before I returned the vehicle. OK...it was pretty nebulous to where the indicator was pointing so I took note of how many miles were left to empty which was 109. I guess I could have gone back to that poor young man who had too much on his plate already for clarification but I didn't...my bad as I didn't want to wait in a fairly large line. After emptying the truck and cleaning it out I saw I was down to 70 miles left so I went to a gas station and put in enough to get it back over the 109. When I returned the truck I made note that the mileage to empty was 130. When I got the receipt I saw I was charged for 3 more gallons at over $7 per gallon...expensive gas....total extra charge over $22. The extra $22 you squeezed from me seems petty ...take it as I guess you maybe need it at the cost of not only looking petty but being petty. If that is the rep you want so be it. I am surprised you dodnt ask for a review of UHaul as a company ...I would definitely give it a lower rating

Location was off the main road and a little hard to find, but once I found it, all was smooth.
MARK LEasy process and the manager whom I dealt with was very attentive.
KEVIN DThis was where the van was available, so that’s really what I needed and it was a same day rental, so that is what mattered. The return was easy in terms of the key drop, but the app didn’t work for the return. It kept freezing. I called U-Haul and they had me use the website, which did work, but it wasn’t a fast process. I spent more than 20 minutes trying to drop off the van. First with the app failing and then the odometer showed 3,xxx miles which was less than pickup mileage and eventually when I turned the motor off, it showed 9,xxx miles which was right and worked. 3,xxx didn’t seem to be the trip mileage, but maybe it was something like that. Just a frustrating return because I was in a hurry and thought it’d be a quick process. In taking the vehicle, the customer should told to look for notifications to take pics of the damage, etc. That message is easily missed when it arrives between the time you rent the vehicle and get in and drive it out. I was in a hurry yesterday and forgot to do that!
Eric DThe uhaul truck reeked of cigarette smoke and the turn signals/hazard lights were so dim they might as well have not worked. The driver side door handle also barely worked. This truck NEEDS to be fixed and cleaned before being available.
