1 person working this morning running the entire operation (checking in and connecting equipment). About 10 ppl waiting in line. Took over 40 minutes to pick up a trailer even with online check in. A location that big on a Saturday morning should have more than a single employee.

The first trailer I was supposed to pickup with brakes had no lights , the door was frozen shut and was very dirty along with tips of wire harness were frozen...not prepared or pre checked as it should have been considering I had made a reservation 2 days in advance.

First trailer that was hooked to my car had taillights that we’re not working. Second trailer worked but staff had not positioned it in place for easy loading on to my car. I came close to damaging my car to get it out. It was not swept out.

Did not request the scarborough location as it was very far from my home in west end toronto. However was assigned to pick up vehicle in scarborough at last minute friday so no chance to ask for better option. Extreme weather conditions made it very hard and nervewracking to return vehicle this morning, driving over 40 km. Was unable to reach anyone by phone at the location to discuss potential alternatives. Perhaps a clearer policy on extreme weather conditions or more staff at the location who can respond to these special situations. Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rate was very fair.

A bit more help for your staff would be to upgrade your computer systems. Too many crashes had them hard copying receipts and 1 hour delays. Spend some money eh!

The location and staff are just great. U-Hauls reservation and pick-up systems are THE WORST. I rent from U-Haul semi-frequently... I also rent cars a lot travelling on business.... I'm perplexed as to why U-Haul makes the process so difficult. Reserving online only to be told the vehicle I'm reserving "may not be available"? Upon reserving being told I'd be contacted by phone by a scheduling manager to confirm? Hold on.... After making the reservation online... on checking back... the location of my pick-up was changed to the other side of town an hour away without even informing me. I would love to have fixed this but while you can log in and click on something that says "edit", one cannon actually edit any part of the rental... Cant change units or location... or anything. So back to the phone and wait on hold to fix the online booking. When I get hold of an (very nice) agent after being on hold..... I am told that the unit I booked at this location is not at this location???? So, I can drive across town... or get a larger unit... but not for the price of the unit I need.... 25% more Pre check in online with credit card and photos of drivers licences... Then have to do the entire process over when picking up the vehicle... There's NO part of the pre-check in that doesn't need to be repeated when on site.... So why waste my time? When returning the rental.... they still don't have my credit card.... which has now been taken twice (at least). I have to wait while we go through the process all over again. There's no way one can go into a U-Haul for a rental of any kind and expect to be there for less than 30 minutes... More likely 45.... and none of this is the fault of the staff or the location.....I find them to always be professional and polite. Their booking system and entire rental process.... Really, they should go back to direct phone in to the rental location and paper rental contracts.... it would be quicker and much less painful. Again.... great staff... The said nothing but it was clear the systems made everything take three times as long....

Customer service was very slow. Associate had trouble calculating km to miles (and why is everything in miles when we are in Canada?). There was only one person working on a Sunday. We waited in line 40 minutes to return the vehicle. Cost was way too high.

After returning the truck, I tried to contact the location several times, and the only reply when calling was a recording stating that "we have a problem, please call later". This went for the all day - Nov 4th - and it is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. If there is a problem, someone needs to get a regular phone and connect to the line, and answer it. People needs to learn how to think and leave the computer off, if it is not working. Today I called again, and the call was forwarded to a centre, probably in the USA. I needed to contact the location; why making things so difficult for the Customer?

Tell the customer to do drop off online when returning after hours. Customer service on phone was extremely helpful.
