Employee at the window took keys from me when I returned the truck and instructed me to leave and said he would email me my charges I didn't understand why he wouldn't do the walkthrough and calculate the mileage while I was physically present. He just told me he would email me. I've never rented a U-Haul from a place that does business like that. How can I contest it if he thinks there's something wrong or isn't happy with the amount of gas I put into it and wants to charge me for erroneous stuff? I tried to tell myself not to worry about it but the drop off was at 1:00 p.m. today. He must have said five times he's going to email me and let me know what my charges are. It is now 7:48 p.m. and there's no email from him. I don't have a secure feeling about this and I don't like leaving a situation like that and then not having closure
ANNE HNavigating a box truck through a very narrow one-way path with tight turns and lots of vehicles with people working in their storage units is pretty anxiety inducing. Especially when operating a rental!
