The truck had damage in multiple locations that had to be added prior to pickup so look at vehicle thoroughly and make sure they give you properly.

My radiator blew on my car while I was towing a uhaul trailer and the only thing they had available was a 26 foot truck to tow my trailer. The truck was completely empty and they wouldn't give me any discount at all for having to reserve a vehicle. They should have more options available at this location. The supply of trailers and trucks seems low. Even a 10% discount would've helped considering my engine is completely blown and I will have to spend $8k to fix it. I thought UHaul was a trustworthy company but they seem more worried about the bottom line and squeezing customers for every last penny when they get into a bad situation. Needless to say this made a bad situation worse and I will most likely use a different company next time.

First we reserved and paid in advance for a 26 foot truck to be picked up in Nashville NC at 9 am 2 weeks prior to the date; received a voicemail 2 days prior stating they did not have one and had reserved a smaller truck to be picked up at this location in Sharpsburg NC at 11 am which was a huge inconvience as we had planned to moved all items in one trip, we had to drive another vehicle and still have to make another trip as a result of this; arrived to location to pick up truck at this grocery store, the girl working the counter called multiple times for a man to come up front to help, finally a customer in the store ran the bell numerous times in the back before he very rudely came to assist then to tell us we only do this at 1130 at which time we informed him this had been changed by uhaul not us and the message was for 11am. He rudely contacted someone on the phone gave the phone to the girl working the counter who was talked through how to half way do this over the phone all the while trying to check out customers in the store because the rude man went back to the back and even after multiple calls to come back to assist us did not. the process of picking up this much smaller truck took well over an hour. We did not receive a copy of the contract as it would not print, the truck was not inspected for cleanliness so we were held responsible for cleaning someone else's mess when we went to return the truck. We received dirty blankets. Someone had spilled coffee all down the seat and dash. The message received from UHAUL stated since we received your voice mail this change has been reserved. This is not acceptable or professional business practice but left us with no choice as we had to move furniture from one home to another that day. We ended up spending more money that planned because of this unexplained change and spent more time at the location than expected due to the delay in pick up time and delay at the pick up location. I will NEVER pick up another item at this location and will only use UHAUL as a last resort. We have rented from UHAUL in the past with no issues however this caused a major problem for us moving and now also have to make another trip from Morehead City to Nashville to pick up the rest of our belongings because they would not fit in the size truck someone at your company decided would be fine. We also had to pay to store item in a storage unit until we can get back. VERY DISSATIFIED customer!!! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PICK UP LOCATION FOR ANYTHING AND WOULD BE VERY RELUCTANT TO RECOMMEND UHAUL DUE TO THE ISSUES AND COST WE NOW HAVE INCURRED

I asked for appointment at 9. Was confirmed . When I called the next day or was 12 pm before I could get. Then nobody completed paper work. Someone from head office called and told me.i was on a stolen vehicle ! Vehicle was dirty.

Received faulty equipment and had to return twice. Had to do new contract and wrong contract was processed. Was over charged and having a hard time getting refund. would not recommend.
