I arrived at the facility and I literally had to wait for 15 minutes before anyone came to the counter to service me which caused me to be late. Then the AC in the truck would only blow from the vents at my feet for most of the time. (It was 85 degrees here in Louisiana!) For a small % of the time it came from the vents as it should have. I did have the vents set to blow from above. Then...the worst part of my experience was I was charged $20 for fuel when I 100% know I returned the truck with MORE fuel than I left with and certainly past the level that showed on the contract. !! Very frustrating because I was VERY careful to make sure I returned the truck with more gas then it had when I picked it up. I feel I made it too easy for this location to charge me extra for fuel since I dropped it off after closing and they just simply charged my card on file. I don't have to pay any of the bill for this rental as I am being reimbursed from my company so I could just not say anything about the fuel charges because it didn't cost me anything. I just want others to know which may possibly reduce the chances they are over charged as I was. Twice I called this location back to discuss the fuel charges BUT....I was on hold so long I hung up each time as I got tired of waiting on hold.

Nothing. I think they were great! Nice as can be. Very helpful. Store was clean. Easy in & easy out. Even though they were very busy, customers didn't get fussy and neither did the guys working there. It was a very easy process as well. I will most definitely use them again if I need to rent another U-haul.

Truck had extremely bad alignment issues could not go above 30 mph, kept pulling to the left...it's a disgrace that your company does not take care of nor check your vehicles I wouldn't be surprised if this exact truck cost someone there life one day.

Every truck I've ever rented from this place (and I rent at least 4 times a year) has smelled like a heavy smoker just left it. Inside the cab and inside the storage compartment both.

I received a defective car dolly, and was charged 114.83 to for the repair of the merchandise when I returned it to Slidell. This was a very disappointing experience.

THE ONLY THING I WOULD DO IS TO HAVE A LOCK FOR THE BACK DOOR.I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE THE DOLLY IN BACK OF TRUCK, WHEN I DROP IT OFF THE NEXT DAY I GOT A CALL FOR STORAGE KING . THEY SAID THE DOLLY WAS NOT IN THE TRUCK, AN I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

Ensure hitch installer is qualified/knowledgeable to do the job. Had location install hitch and trailer wiring on 2014 VW. Besides the fact that it took 4 hours to do a quoted 2 hour job (which initially I didn't mind because I'd rather the job be done right than rushed), 4 hours into my 16 hour trip the car was experiencing electrical malfunctions (ie.dummy lights,instrument cluster, and radio behaved irratically) because the trailer harness was powered directly from the battery with no protection for the vehicle in place. So when the harness is connected, stray electricity is sent back to car.

Even though the experience was great, my issue is with the pricing. I wanted to turn my truck in at a different location but was not allowed causing me to incur a payment due of more than $500.00 when it would have been a little more than half that amount. I literally drove a truck back to Slidell from Lafayette empty to find 6 more trucks on the lot sitting.

I guess I have negative marks towards U-Haul in general and not specifically regarding the Slidell, Louisiana pick up location. I reserved a rental to pick up in my local town that has three separate u-Haul locations. Neither did any representative call me by noon prior to the day of pick up nor was my reservation scheduled at one of the three convenient locations in my town. I had to drive 25 miles farther west from where I am to pick up my rental. That means, I had to pay for 50 miles of driving that should not have been. today, I received a bill for just that I'm out which probably is the mileage from the Slidell location today, I received a bill for just that I'm out which probably is the mileage from the Slidell location (to and fro) to my hometown. It makes me wonder how many other customers have to drive 25 miles out-of-the way to rent a vehicle at .99 cents a mile and be charged for this. How will U-haul rectify this? How will U-haul keep me as a customer for my next trip next month? Will U-haul respond to this comment with a scripted resonse or nothing at all? Sincerely, Kevin Slatten
