Rating:

Not only did it take over 35min for them to figure out how to login before I was able to get trailer (this was with me reserving and checking in online before hand). They then allowed me to leave with an illegal trailer. Halfway back home (6hrs into a 12 hrs drive, now dark out) a semi started flashing brights at me. I pulled over, no running lights. Then drove the rest with hazard lights on.

The trailer had to be lifted onto the truck. NO HELP, I am an old man. I asked for a ball, NO BALL. Had to buy one, cost $50 and the hassle of getting it on. Lights did not work. Brakes did not work. Customer service was nonexistent. Very disappointed. Terrible experience from the time I showed up to get it till we returned it.

The only thing that was not up to snuff was that I ordered a 26 ft truck for 2 days, and when I got there the representative over the phone only reserved the truck for 24 hrs. the only truck avail for the two days was a 20 footer. I had to go back and finish with a trailer to avoid renting for third day.

Very pleased with the whole experience. Quick and friendly service and ease borrowing and returning the truck. Even when we locked the key in the truck upon return. They took care of it for us without a fuss. Will rent from them again at this location.

Not happy with pickup as the trailer that I reserved was not at the located promised. I had to drive almost 15 miles to the Spanish Fork location after being told at the original pickup location that they did not have my trailer.

I was charged for extra miles. I explained when I picked the truck up that I would need extra miles since I had to travel to my home which was 15 miles from the pickup location.

Apparently the guy put in I would return the trailer to his location and not the Logan location. Because of this miscommunication i was charged WAY more than i thought i was going to be.

As per my phone call Sunday afternoon with one of your reps. Several factors made this an extremely poor experience. Checking out the trailer was a task in itself. The rep I had spoke to had populated the info prior to my arrival for pick up. Basic info was needed such as my DL number and I had requested at the location to add my tax exempt status to the contract. I spent 20min in a debate with the point of contact about my tax exemption. He all but demanded some form of proof. In looking at the measurement of time I pulled out my company info. It was at this point he slowly proceeded with the contract. Several other parts of the contract needed filled out such as my primary address. The man handed me his keyboard and turned his back on me to "take care of other customers." he then took my payment info and struggled with his card reader for a moment as well as the printout for the transaction. It was at this point i went out to locate the trailer that was behind one of your smaller box trucks. Upon returning to the store front the attending person(same guy that handled the contract) came out and checked the truck number. He returned with keys only to find the truck was unable to be moved. At this pou t he tells me that early in the day. He had to use his truck to pull one of your trucks out of the same situation. He expressed at that point that my truck was larger then his. And that I would need to tie up to your equipment and pull it out. I respectfully declined. It was that point he walked away returning minuets later with a scoop shovel that he then hands.me and says. "You dig it out". In looking at time I just took action. The box truck had about a foot of runway behind it. I busted about a foot of solid ice from the front of the rear tires. And told him to slowly back the box truck up the foot and then pull forward and out. That ended up working. Upon backing up to the car trailer he took off and we began hitching. A new problem arose when we found the tongue had actually sank in mud and was unable to crank out. I had to bring our a bottle jack and used a nearby rail road tie to raise the tongue to latch on. It was also found that the device that adds the extra layer of secure hitching of the ball was spring and stuck in the open position. Upon getting it to latch it was also found that the 5 prong extender for the trailer lights where gone. None of the other area trailers had them and upon speaking to the attending person one final time. He had no extras. We ended up buying one at lowes. We where able to safely transport the car home and appreciate both the rep that set us up with the trailer and the rep I spoke with on sunday in relation to this 2 hour plus rental pick up.

Offer the vehicle closest to the building when the end one on the lot is in 10 inches of snow. They eventually suggested the more assessable trailer after we nearly slid into the adjacent trailers.

Actually, I have a complaint for the U Haul web site and reservation process. I called a company in Payson, Utah to reserve a truck. They said to just request it online, so I did the reservation online. I put that I wanted to Payson, Utah pick up. I then got 2 confirmation emails, saying to sign in and set it up. I could never get the website to work, and it would never let me sign in, even though I put the access code in several times, and requested new ones. I made this reservation a week in advance. Then on Sunday, the day before I was to pick up my truck, I got a text saying the truck was available at a different location in Spanish Fork, Utah. This added 18 miles to the trip, which added an extra cost that I did not plan on. I was disappointed in U haul changing the pick up location, and not contacting me during the regular business week so I couldn't get it changed before my pick up day. Why did they not just have the truck at the requested location. I would really like a credit for the extra miles I had to pay for. Thank you, Kara Morris. 801.400.2139
