Reserved a tow dolly weeks in advance. When we arrived none of the 7 dollies in stock we’re road worthy. Most had bad lights and the two that had good lights had other issues. Spent 1 1/2 hours trying to work it out. Finally, the manager, Elliott, agreed to let us have a full car trailer for the same price. He was very helpful and turned a bad situation around. The trailer worked fine for our nearly 1600 mile trip.

The service here is normally excellent with the employees being very friendly and helpful. However, this last time I rented from this location there was a female who I believe was in some type of leadership position that was not a very good representative of your company. Her attitude made it seem like she was doing me a favor rather than being a valued customer with repeat business. Luckily, her coworkers were as friendly as I've grown accustomed to in the past. Because of this, I will return but won't if it persists next visit.

My driver came at 8:15 to pick up an van that had been ordered two days prior. There were two customers in line ahead of him. He drover away with the van at 8:55. I have been renting vans from you for some time and never has it been this long for pick up.

Lady that checked me in said hi and bye. No explanation of anything and seems like she wanted to not be working. Other person had to explain everything and answer my questions.

1. Had to go back in after signing for the truck because the fuel reading was wrong. 2. Reservation was for 7 a.m, but didn’t get the truck until almost 7:30 3. No one to meet me in the vehicle as stated on the return sign, so I walked in and waited in line. 4. Took 3 hours after my drop off to finally get a receipt emailed to me. 5. Nice team, but looks like they were just short-handed which caused most of the service issues.

How is it that I was charged for 3 gallons when I was (supposedly) 2/16 short on gas

I had a 1 7/8" ball that needed to be switched to a 2" ball before attaching the trailer. Unfortunately the wrong wrench was in the car and my daughter could not switch the balls when she went up to pick up the trailer. The employee said the 1 7/8 ball was fine and hooked up the trailer - Everything I read about this indicated he was wrong. We changed the ball out at home before towing. It would be helpful if the employees had some tools to change out a ball to the correct one. Note that the U-Haul website indicated that we need a 2 inch ball. Also the 2 inch ball was rated for 3000 pounds whereas the 1 7/8 ball was rate for 2000 pounds - so it made a difference.

I had a huge problem with reservations. The trailer want available at the Broad St Falls Church location and no one called me. I went in to check on my trailer and found out myself. You should be moving equipment around to meet your reservations instead of asking me to travel to NE Wash DC during rush hour. Demi in Reservations and Dawn in Scheduling finally fixed this. I was transferred 4 times before I got to Demi. Demi called Dawn and stayed on the line. I have an issue with the Falls Church employee who didn’t care enough to call me. The move went great. I also have an issue with the reservation female who changed my pickup location to 5th St NE Wash DC without my agreement then proceeded to transfer me. Where is management? I’m exhausted but annoyed enough to not rent again for a long time.

Not happy that we had a reservation number to pickup in Manassas and when we got there we were told they had not secured the trailer for us to use, so we had to go to Springfield instead. You should not give a reservation number if you do not have the trailer. I would rather know you are all booked up then to have gone through what we went through to get this done. We booked help to load the trailer and that cost us a lot of wasted time and money running around northern Virginia to pick up at another location. If you give a reservation number you need to have the trailer at the location or just tell us you don't have it.
