The Associate that helped us was not friendly did not have full knowledge of Uhaul services and gave me an attitude, when I asked a simple question, two other associates loaded the car on the Auto transport but they did not secure the tires because two of the tires got unlocked half way there. We spend more then an hour just to play chin-up the Auto transport because the associates did not care about the customers that have to get on the road in a timely manner. I will not recommend this location to anyone.

See comment on the pick up. I'm little disappointed that i put in bit too much and won't get credit. It should be full and top it off when returning. If customer do't top it off charge them the cost of gas plus some fee to penalize them. Just saying , thanks.

Because you have to submit pictures with the after hours return, it would be nice to have the name of the location on the equipment return signs. But, overall, the process was excellent.

Our originally arranged nighttime dropoff was at the end of a dimly lit gravel road which ended up overbooked and we were asked by the franchisee to park in a dark rundown and unmanned area a mile or so away and come back with the key. We chose to call U-Haul after midnight and re-arrange an actual U-Haul Storage and rental facility dropoff. The U-Haul telephone person made the dropoff change and granted us extra mileage for the necessary travekl we incurred. Nobody at the redirected facility at that hour of the night but the key drop box procedure worked fine and our account was settled by 9 AM the next morning! Please verify dropoff location capacity in the future.

I initially chose a different pick up and drop off location when reserving my uhaul. I called multiple times including the day of pick up to confirm my reservation and ensure that they had a truck for me at the original location (Dorr Avenue in Fairfax, VA). When I arrived, the guy said they didn't have a truck available for me and said I would have to go to a different location to pick up a truck. He didn't even ask me if the new location was okay to go to, he made that decision for me. Also keep in mind I was picking this up on a Friday afternoon in horrendous Northern Virginia rush hour traffic. This is frustrating on so many levels because the uhaul had 119 mile limit and after that you have to pay per mile. I calculated exactly the locations I would take the uhaul to to ensure it was under 119. With a location change, the total mileage messed up and I had to pay the extra mileage. When I arrived at the new location (Springfield) to pick up the uhaul, the guy asked me where I wanted to drop off my uhaul. I told him the original location I choose when I reserved the uhaul. He told me that location was not a choice and I had to pick the only option available (again, the location was further than I originally choose which added to the additional mileages on the uhaul). A quick pick up of a uhaul turned into an hour and a half ordeal. Would rather rent from enterprise or penske, anything but here.

I was fourth in line this morning and feared it would be a long wait but the two staff members worked quickly and smoothly and I left the lot MUCH earlier than I anticipated. The drop off was perfect and I am impressed with everyone who works at this location. Very well done. I plan to use your services later this month.

After I checked the truck in last night, I got a call asking me to return it this morning. The employees were unable to answer basic questions about the fees and didn’t explain the billing process before hand leading me to believe that he cost would be siginificantly lower than expected.

The customer service was great, everything was quick and ready to go! I loved having the ability to "check in" early and get on my way. Only complaint is that the truck itself wasn't in the best shape. The latch was broken a bit and there were a couple other minor issues--but it got the job done!

I was charged an extra $53.38 for fuel stating I did not have the fuel level up to the level from when I picked the truck up. I know I put in more gas than was required so I would not have this happen yet they are claiming I didn't have the same amount. I called U-Haul support and told them I dispute this and your customer service agent told me I would need a receipt. I don't keep gas receipts because I thought U-Haul would be honest. After she told me she couldn't help me she said someone from the store would call me. No one did and then you billed me for the full amount. Since I don't have a receipt i guess I don't have a case. I will never use U-Haul again. I would rather pay extra for an honest business deal.

When I originally made a reservation in May, I was supposed to rent a 15' truck from Dominion Auto Body in Fairfax at 10 a.m. on June 30th. The day before, I received a text that a truck wouldn't be available until 3 p.m. I spent over an hour on the phone being transferred to the wrong person several times before a supervisor gave me a new reservation at Dominion for 10 a.m. on the 30th. When I called them to confirm, they told me they didn't have a truck then. They were not very proactive in trying to resolve my problem. I called the corporate number back and managed to talk to a regional manager who reserved a 20' truck at this location at 10 a.m. When I came to pick up the truck, I saw that a 15' truck was available and I asked to have it as it was what I needed and had reserved in the first place. They rented me the truck, but when I returned it I found that I had been charged for a 20' truck. Because I had my receipt emailed to me, I didn't find this out until I had returned home in Bridgewater, a 2 hour drive away. This has been a very disappointing experience.

Have Ryan realize people know what they rented. Because it was so busy and probable oversold he insisted I rented a van and not a 10ft truck and when I told him no I did rent a truck he acted like he was doing me a favor. I had to spend hours on the phone to the call center to straighten this out as you couldn't get through to the location because it was so busy. When they pulled up my reservation they could see I rented a 10ft truck and not a cargo van. The 1st truck he gave me the sideview mirror was lose and was swinging wildly, he knew it was lose as he helped adjust them and still let me leave with damage truck. Had to bring it back and it took a long time to replace that one as Ryan had disappeared and the young man helping me didn't have the authority to give me another truck. Also Ryan said since I was switching to a truck and not a van he was trying to get me to take, he had to shorten my time for the truck. To get a non damaged truck took another hour. Coupled with being on the phone with the call center took the same amount of time I had the truck in my possession that I rented. The call center did the best they could under the circumstances and realized as I had that I had been duped. Please explain to Ryan that people know what they rented and give them that product.

I picked up my truck at 1:30 pm on sun July 1. I returned it before the location opened by dropping the key in the key drop the same evening around 10 pm. The next day I received a receipt charging me for 2 days. I called customer service to advise and inquire about the charges and was advised a manager would call back and reissue a receipt the same day . 24 hours later I have not received a call back.

My only issue with U-Haul (and nothing at all due to the location) is the business model where a reservation is never guaranteed. I imagine this is why Uhaul is less expensive than the competition, but it is nevertheless frustrating.
