The roll-up door on this particular truck had no hesitation about going up. The spring action apparently works automatically, making it difficult to hold onto to keep it from flying up and from holding it down in order to lock it.

The only bad that I would say is that I reserved a 10 ft truck and was told the day before that they didn't have one but that Uhaul would upgrade to 15ft but still only charge the $19.95 but they didnt do that. They charged me the $29.95. Don't let them just email you a receipt, make sure you looked at receipt and verify all charges .

A truck was suppose to be ready Saturday afternoon for a one-way out of state trip at another Mississippi location but it was not there. Kim found us a truck and open several hours early on Sunday morning to get us the truck and on the road. Thanks Kim!!

I have been using this rental location for the past 10 years. They have always been very quick and dependable. The trailer I rented was ready to go. Kim did my contract and hookup in less than 10 minutes. The lot they have in the back is also very large. I had no problem backing the trailer back in when I returned.

My name is Mimi and I am Jonathan's girlfriend. I am writing this review. When we reserved our uhaul for a one way trip, we reserved it for 4 days. My boyfriend went back into this location (Coconut Creek) to discuss possibly adding another day (making it 5 total days). The gentleman who helped my boyfriend told him that whatever days we did NOT use, would be REFUNDED back to us. My boyfriend left the location with an updated contract for 5 full days, which also INCREASED the price. When we got to Starkville, we dropped off the auto transport early, so we had access to the ramp on the truck. The next day, a woman named Kim from the Starkville location, called my boyfriend and asked if we could bring the truck back on Thursday (a day EARLIER than our return date), since a family was in need of it. We told her that would be fine and we would speak soon. We called the office back 2 hours later to discuss the reimbursement for the day we would no longer have the truck. The Starkville office told us that the company does not reimburse for days not used, and that the Coconut Creek worker had lied to us. We were VERY upset since we spent $1600 on the rental. We explained our situation and that we would have never rented the truck for an extra day if we had known we couldn't have gotten money back. The woman said she'd have to check with corporate and call us back. She called us back 2 hours later and said she could give us $40. We were unhappy and called uhaul customer service. I spoke to 4 different customer service representatives. The first woman explained the contract and told me that adding the extra day (the 5th day) cost us an extra $84 and that we should be receiving that amount back. At the end of the conversation, she told me that our contract had been CHANGED, and that our NEW due date of the truck was THURSDAY and not FRIDAY. She then said she would have to transfer me since she could not see who changed our contract WITHOUT PERMISSION. The next person I spoke to was very unhelpful, she was unable to tell me what was going on with our contract and told me that I had reached the wrong department. I told her I was transferred to her specifically, and she said that the woman who transferred me, transferred me to the wrong department. She was able to see our contract and confirmed that the return date was Thursday. I told the woman that we had NEVER changed our contract/return date. The woman then told me that only the Starkville location would be able to change our contract/return date. She said she was transferring me to the Starkville location. Spoke to a third woman who was NOT at the Starkville location. She said that she also could not see who changed our contract, but she did see that there was a $40 credit to the debit card we paid with. I told her that we never authorized the credit or the change in return date. All she could say was that if we did not return the uhaul by Thursday 8AM, we would be recharged the money we were returned. S

The location was clean but not sure it was inviting. Door was locked with no answer for several minutes. Called phone number and got no answer. Someone finally answered the door and took the trailer drop off. I guess the attendant was helpful once she arrived. I still wonder why UHaul does not use information they gather in the reservation system like when someone should be in the office to accept returns.

Trailers were so close together that I could not lift the hitch high enough to secure it to my car. The back door would not close and had to be secured with a piece of rope. The tail lights did not work because when they hooked them up they did not leave enough play in the wire to account for the little bit of tension caused by accelerating of the vechile resulting in a broken connection.

Kim is fantastic & very professional! She not only made the process easy & quick, she went the extra mile by resolving a blown harness fuse in my personal truck that revealed itself when some trailer lights didn’t come on, at no charge. I highly recommend Kim & her location to all in the Starkville area!
