I love renting at this location. The vehicles are plentiful and well maintained. At times they could stand to have more folks working the counter and the drop off but overall I've been more than pleased each of the 3 times I've rented in the last month. By the way, Jonathan is an outstanding agent; personable, efficient and on top of his game. Thanks for a great experience! I'll definitely come back when I rent again.

This was a supremely frustrating experience. There was no parking, so I parked by a curb that I didn't think would be a problem while I waited in line. Then someone yells at me "lady you gotta move your car" and forced me to get out of line. Once I moved my car around the building to some sketchy parking areas I got back in line to be told that I was late and my reservation was cancelled. They "recovered" one so thankfully I got one. Then while I'm checking in they tell me I could've bypassed all of this bc I had self check in... supremely frustrating.

It was not immediately clear to us that we needed to wait outside for the drop off to be processed. so we went inside and waited in the rental line until one of the drop off staff came in looking for us.

Your web site was challenging at best. Phone calls pushed me to the web site, told van not available on line and phone. Lot was packed with equipment. Get people out faster from rental location.

Super friendly people. I accidentally left my lunch in the van, and one of the guys took it and put it in the fridge for me and was going to call (I made it back to the center before he called me). Also, it was an easy process to drop off the van.

Long line at the counter with just one associate. When the associate had an issue he called another came from the back to resolve it for him but went right back even after he saw the long line. The lady behind me left because the line was not moving.

Reserved an A.T. at Bladensburg Road (a location that has had the A.T. everytime I needed one for the last year) Apparently it had been "stolen" in May, and their computer indicated that, but no one told Scheduling. They called the main office, and the main office said go to 5th street ne. Apparently 5th street didn't have the A.T. - so huge waste of my time. 5th street called the main office and sent me to Tacoma Park, MD. It took 30 minutes to get there and over an hour to get out of their facility. They had trouble with everyone's credit card. They couldn't print my receipt. It was a horrible customer service experience. I will be buying my own trailer, because I can not rent with Uhaul again

Sent me to the wrong location and I was on hold for 20 minutes at the wrong location. Staff was rude over the phone and interrupted me when I was stressed out because people were harassing me on the corner of the street looking for the u haul. It is not good for you to have drivers stressed out before driving your vehicles. The staff said that since they texted me they had handeled it but this no good when the email says something completely different. Would not have rented from the takoma park location if the other location wasn't available- I felt cheated out of money and frustrated on a day that was already incredibly stressful. Worst experience I could have imagined.

This is a huge facility. Place was very crowded on a Saturday morning with a 30 minute wait. I could see their phones were ringing constantly. They need far more staff to handle the load. Otherwise, they were efficient and pleasant. The 10' Ft truck I rented had a severe metallic rattling sound from in front of the driver and the rubber trim around the right mirror was flapping in the wind. Nothing significant, the truck did the job well.

I signed up to have the truck ready (i.e. do everything on my phone) when I arrived there was no truck attached to my account, so I needed to wait in line to do that anyway. Had I been on a tight timeline, I would've been frustrated with that. Also, it was very busy at the location when I arrived, and it seemed a little more chaotic than necessary. I don't know if the employees had run into challenging customers, but it made it look like they were short staffed (which I don't think they actually were). Also, it may just be my preference, but if there's any way to encourage day laborers to not crowd the entry points to the location, it may feel more comfortable coming in as a customer. I'm not against people wanting to work, but it kind of feels like UHaul approves of it, when there was even a sign on the door that stated otherwise.

I love going to this location. The only issue is the young man behind the counter. He need to speak up, speak clearly, and act more professional in his mannerisms. Not sure what his name but he s the weak link where as everyone else is perky and up beat this young man is lethargic, slow, and does not pay attention to the detail. I rent pick-ups pretty often for weekend project and I hate having him wait on me. He may be a nice young man but he definitely need some coaching. My two cents.

Self check in needs to work/ the process needs to be known by all the employees. When I got there, there was some confusion as to if they even had a van available for me. Then, they asked me to go walk around myself and find whoever the guy was who knew about self check in and see if he could figure things out.

Customer service was sub par from the beginning with an extremely long wait to retrieve our rented van, then became absolutely unacceptable when we forgot our car keys and expensive headphones and sunglasses in the same front cup holder. When we went to retrieve the items, we were told that only the keys were found. Luckily we had photo proof (which did not move management much), but once the police were called to report the stolen items, the other items magically reappeared. The manner in which it was handled seemed very systematic as if they use this routine often.
