I arrived to pick up the van. No one came out with me to the van to check kilometres or see if there was any damage. I started the van and a warning came up on the dashboard saying on of the tires was low on air. I went back in and told the guy that I couldn’t see the kilometres because of the message about the tires. He told me to go to the gas station and fill the air up. I told him that wasn’t my job, and the vehicle should be ready to go. When I took the van back I forgot to put gas in. That’s fine, I would pay the $23 for gas. However, they then told me that I had driven 19 kilometres. I was moving to a house 700 meters from my old house. I made two trips to the house. That equals 2.8 kilometers. Then I said I had to drive around my block a couple times to find a spot. The block is 200 metres. So I said we could add a kilometre. Then he said, well, how far is it from your house to here. That is a kilometre. So add another 2 kilometers. So that is about 6 kilometres. Yet they charged me for 19. I asked how they knew if they didn’t come out to the van and check the kilometres when I got there. They said the last person entered the kilometres when they returned the van. The thing is, no one checked. I did not drive 19 kilometres and I think they are scamming people. I will rent from U-Haul again, but I will NEVER go there again. Something fishy is going on there.

First place we ordered from online was closed and didn’t call and cancel so we got there and called U-Haul and had to travel to another location to pick us the van. Then when we got the vehicle it was covered in snow. We had to cleaning the snow on the ground and the vehicle. We had people off the street and other strangers help but the store people did not help at all it was the worst service ever
KAREN Nwe used this location's van about 6 months ago as well. The last time, the rear right signal light was out and the radio dash, ithey were still out this time. There were old moving blankets and so much dust/dirt in the back as well.
SHADAN HWas told upon arrival that the moving pads were not available which changed some of our moving plans. Additionally, the vehicle would constantly beep when put into drive and in motion.
RILEY BThis was the worst truck I’ve ever rented from U-Haul. And I rent often. The radio didn’t work. The left taillights didn’t work. There was a loud rubbing noise form the front right wheel and the tire pressure monitor was on permanently but, the tires were full. It was due for an oil change. I feel I should be given compensation and have my rental fee reimbursed.
